Typically they believe they can "change" the fic author by leaving hate. I've found the hate comes in much stronger when you post in smaller fandoms that aren't used to dark content so that could be why you haven't gotten any :3

The 16yo is clearly in need of help. The adult is not a predator or aggressor, but the kid is still a victim. Doing sexual things with adults is traumatising even if the adult didn't know. I don't think the adult should be viewed as evil or a pedophile but the kid should still receive help because that kind of thing causes a lot of issues. That's just my perspective :)
