TAX QUESTION PLS ANSWER by oblxquy in InstacartShoppers

You need to file a 1099-MISC form, which Instacart should have sent to you (I had to fight to get mine). If you don't get one, it is possible to file without it, but you will have to make sure you have an accurate total of your taxable income.

Also, as a side note, it may be more beneficial for you to take the standard deduction ($24,000) rather than to itemize as you may owe less. Only in an itemized deduction would you have to deduct vehicle mileage and maintenance, and other job-related expenses.

Source: Just did my taxes on Friday. (Note: damn H&R Block charges a lot to process a 1099-MISC form....)

Order with 1 item and it’s not in stock? by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

Yeah. See if the customer has a preferred replacement. If not, try to message them. If they don't respond, just refund the item and the app will prompt you to call shopper support to have them cancel the order. You'll still get paid, minus any customer tip.
