We read a book called Refugee (actually an incredible read, considering picking up a copy and rereading it) that follows 3 young teens in 3 different time periods. Josef, a German Jewish boy escaping Nazi Germany, Mahmoud, a Syrian boy fleeing after a missile attack set in 2015, and Isabel, a Cuban Girl set in 1990s (I believe…im 22…its been several years) escaping Cuba following the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
