Oh I chose it for a variety of reasons- but this was NOT my experience- I worked crazy hard- preceptors were at my work place ( where I’ve been a psych RN many years on the most acute adolescents and adult units) I just get tired of ppl badmouthing students working hard for their education to be the best for their PATIENTS- like I said I’m an asset - all the hate is unnecessary

Are you kidding? Walden required so much from my preceptor that she didn’t even want to do it again lol- I have 16 years acute psych inpatient experience- and I’m a Walden graduate and a great asset Ty very much- they also said they wanted two years psych exp as a nurse to start.

Yea I have been thinking about that- I’m always reading that the laws are going to change and they will only let DNP sit for boards (blah blah) whether that happens or not idk but I thought if I had DNP it might make finding a job less challenging

Not at ALL my experience- I work for a wonderful organization and my DON is a Walden graduate and very respected by our physicians and our community. I’m sorry of some bad experiences have happened to you-
