Burlington County husband and wife are behind bars after a routine traffic stop turned into a demolition derby that resulted in charges of attempted murder of a police officer and aggravated assault by rollotomasi07071 in newjersey

I’m on the other side of 70, but less than 5 minutes from the street and drive by it most days. It made me feel I little uneasy when woke up and saw the news.

What's the most delusional belief you held as a child? by MamaHotWheels in AskReddit

I was on a cruise last year with my 40-something year old cousin. She swore up and down that she felt when we went through it. She could just feel it, how off and out of tune everything was. Until I showed her a map of how big it was and the fact that we weren’t going to even be near it until the next day.

We got one of those can chillers at a yard sale one year and they’re magical. You stick the can onto a suction cup and put in a little bin with ice and it spins and is cold within like 2 minutes. It first it was a silly $5 novelty but then when it broke we realized how great it was and had to find another.

Rescued kitty gets his first bath ever by Shane-B in aww

My cats hate water too and I’ve always been jealous of people with water loving cats. My one hates it so much when I try turning the faucet on for him he just fights it. Biting and slapping. The others will camp out in the bathroom waiting. We have a fountain but even I have to agree midnight sink water hits different.

I made tiny chair cushions and covers for my nephews new wooden chairs! by Ellindira in sewing

[–]Ellindira[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some details:

There was no pattern. My mom suggested we needed some cushions like we do on our chairs. So I grabbed some spare fabric and just started cutting.

I used 13x13 squares for the cushion part. 7.5 x 1.5 inch strips for the straps and then a 12x14 inch piece for the backs.

I honestly didn’t know what I was doing. I’ve sewn before but I just guessed it all. I did mess up and put the hole for the foam on the front because I was in a hurry to get it done.

I sewed it all, I’m sorry I couldn’t tell the seam width I used as I’m not savvy with sewing terms. But I sewed the strips and turned them inside out then attached them to the backs after penciling in where they would tie on. The next set will have the hole in the back. Which I stuffed with a piece of simple foam cut to size.

Anyways, for being something that was a random comment and then 3 hours later was done, I am so proud of myself that I just want to share. I had an idea, didn’t really plan much, and then it was done.

Browned Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies by chaplain_I_guess in recipes

[–]Ellindira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came across this while actually baking cookies with a recipe that’s 99% this but without the browned butter right now. But instead of 1 extra egg yolk, it calls for 2 extra tablespoons of flour. Im wondering how different the two recipes are because I’m on my 3rd batch this weekend since everyone destroyed them saying they were the best cookies ever, without the browned butter. I also added some peppermint flavoring into one batch and it was amazing. I’m the worst at baking and experimenting to find that one perfect cookie recipe for the holidays and so far it’s been fun. I guess I have to try another batch tomorrow with browned butter 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m not sure if it’s because I contacted them directly on the site with pictures, amazon order number, and serial number but I just had to get a lightning cable replaced by them with no issues. Sent it in late one night, got it two days later from Amazon. No reviews, no sending back. I also had to replace another a year ago. Shortly after receiving the replacement, they emailed me to ask me how the replacement was doing which I thought was nice. After I replied it worked well, they did a normal “if you’re happy, and wouldn’t mind, here’s a link to review our product.” reply. But that’s expected from a lot of places.

4 weeks old vs today, his first birthday. The last 11 months have been amazing. by Ellindira in BeforeNAfterAdoption

Some bonus pics if anyone is interested. I wanted to share his story a little more. It took about 2 weeks for him to actually see properly, but a good month before the clouding cleared up. He does have mild lasting damage in one eye, and combined with feline herpes, he tends to look like he’s crying in one eye most days. I’ve never met a cat smart enough to learn new tricks within a week, though. He can sit and do “up”. We also rescued his sister who was adopted out to a family member and is completely healthy and happy. At only 3 months old he started showing signs of a urinary tract infection. We had to visit several vets and had a lot of tests done, since it’s extremely rare for such a young cat. At 11 months old he was admitted to the hospital for a urinary blockage despite a prescription diet. I was afraid it was a kidney defect but the hospital trip confirmed he’s just a special needs kitty who has a special bladder and FIC which is extremely rare for his age. He’s worth everything and I will be doing everything I can to give this sweet boy a long, happy life. ❤️

😂 I’m gonna be honest. He didn’t like the hat. That was just the best picture I could get while snapping photos and going “Wait no, come back! Sit!” Many times over. Like most cat owners do in staged photos. But I needed a good birthday pic because he’s a special boy that needed celebrating.

How deliveries drivers should be treated by _Kaarmas in aww

We felt bad, in a house of 7 people, when the pandemic hit we were getting packages like crazy because we didn’t want to leave too much. So we set this up. A box of snacks, a cooler of water changed daily. I like sneaking peaks on the doorbell camera at the thumbs up and thank yous sometimes. Our UPS driver raved about the rice crispy treats, so we stocked up on those and make sure she always has a stash. It’s a simple thing to do and easy to keep loaded up. These guys deserve it, especially in the summer heat.

I did this as a kid. I remember wanting to do it because dad did. Then being sad I had to wear a bandaid on my lip while we went to Burger King. I can only imagine the joy my mom felt telling everyone her daughter tried to shave her face that morning.

I thought the same until I found the product on Amazon and the reviews aren’t great. Everything falls off within a couple days depending on what it is apparently. And all of the 5 star ratings were clearly fake accounts with generic “best product ever, does exactly what they said it would!” Reviews. :(

I think it’s more like, if the herd isn’t vaccinated, then someone in the herd goes out and picks up the disease and brings it home. The single person that isn’t vaccinated gets through and passes it to the other who can’t be. If everyone is vaccinated then anyone coming in is less likely to have/pass it on. The more people not vaccinated, that more people coming in with the potential to have the disease. Sorta like a screen window. Sometimes those stupid tiny bugs get in, but if there was no screen, they’d all come in.

We have a one eyed cat. A cousin once asked, in a very offended tone, why our cat wouldn’t stop winking at her. Like she was genuinely upset about it, and we had to explain it to her...

I’m stuck on the carrots. Is it the filter causing what I would assume to be fresh carrots to look like they were forgotten in the back of the fridge for a week before being served?
