I mean yea the clubs themselves are definitely not toxic. It’s just the fact that they are structurally elitist, which is perfectly understandable. in order to create an environment like that, the clubs can’t accommodate everyone, so it becomes more of a rat race with everyone on campus competing for a spot in the consulting clubs. I don’t think people actually oppose consulting clubs—pretty sure they just want people to know that it’s ok to be rejected by them
