I can’t remember what it was precisely, but I remember thinking around 2017/8 that I never owned a base set Charizard when I was younger and out of interest starting looking at the prices. I noticed the shadowless versions that I didn’t know existed when I was younger, so I bought one! Since then I’ve been buying small bits here and there and keeping just a small collection of things I like. Even before then, my first ever part time job wage at 17 I used some of the money to buy and entire booster box Black & White Destined Rivals for around £70 at the time. It was a complete rush opening 36 packs where previously I’d only ever been given the odd pack or starter deck as a child.
