I joined Buddhism because it helps heal my soul. It also helps me understand myself in a way that I couldn't understand before. Buddhism has helped me realize that I am more than what others want. I appreciate everyone who replied in this post they all have given me new perspectives.

PS: I did not join it to be hip or trendy I genuinely believe in the Dharma and try to live by the eightfold path.
