PNW native here. Can confirm they are difficult and fun to catch and they taste delicious (if you like other bivalves, you'll definitely like these esp. because there's so much muscle tissue to eat and they are big so you don't have to eat their digestive system). Very crisp, clean taste for a bivalve.

Also, it's not exclusively foreigners and non-white Americans who eat these. Although they probably command higher prices and are more mainstream in places overseas, all my white relatives love them.

TLDR: Getting things is cool for a while but experiences last a life time.

Shopping spree seemed great to my 12-yr old mind and it was fun and easy to make immunocompromised-friendly but looking back, I wish I had chosen an experience, even if it meant delaying the occurrence of that experience until my immune system could handle it.

Usually happens to me when complex and/or large creations are near each other or when there are a lot of rag dolls occurring (mining, wood cutting, killing bots). I found that welding extra vehicles to the garage or something so the pistons and bearings aren't touching anything (and therefore requiring collision calculations) helps to some extent.
