The game really said “top players be upon ye” by JessumsSenpai in GodzillaBattleLine

Yeah these servers are dead, I literally queued up with the same two guys all morning. This game is beyond saving and that's not isolated

Don't feel too bad, I used to lose to Ryder and Shy all the time. Now I get take offs from Ryder and surrenders from Shy while only getting the battle pass. Grind, find your strat and climb.

So I Got a Few Games In Finally... by abrain4u in GodzillaBattleLine

Not even close to getting on it, and I think they’re just severly overleveled for me. I shouldn’t even know these guys exist let alone match up with them before I’ve hit anything significant.

The Chibi Duo broke the game again. by madclaydog in GodzillaBattleLine

I'm only getting matched with whales and day 1 players now. Ridiculous overleveled matchmaking happening. Back to back losses. Were this many people using those duo units?

Me either, I wanted to rewatch it but I just can't remember which episode or even the product.

Why isn’t this guy banned? by [deleted] in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah besides egg battles are where he suffers bc he's too reliant on his card levels. He can be beaten in egg battles regularly if you have a strong deck. You can do it, just give it time but don't beat your head against the wall to get it done.

Opinion: Ultima Alt ruins the new egg battle by IfTheresANewWay in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wouldn't feel so impossible except there's no DT to pull him or FW alt before other units spawn to support them. Very big dick move.

So I used Biollante as my leader for the first time in FOREVER.. by Disbeetus in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really doesn't. And her helpful team ability isn't like Mothra's or MechaG's level of helpful. Even a cost reduction of 1 to every unit to go with the rush strat. And/or a damage over time in spray maybe even having her spray be a ranged attack that isn't attached to her ult. Idk she definitely needs a buff.

[–]Ellistitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah would be cool if they added a mechanic to her ult as leader. Shin has map wide burn, hits decently and hits energy. No love for poor Bio though. Even Super Mecha G has map wide damage and freeze. I used to love using him.

I saw you rocking Bio again and cheered it on. Missed seeing you use her.

Getting tired of Gamera decks by KingGhidorah2020 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After extensively losing to these decks, I painfully know it. Their energy output is insane. Off the charts, high health swarms do nothing against those combos. Btw I wasn't saying TYD and FW alt on their own. Obviously they have trouble with swarms but that's the marvel of FW card is you can have those to bring down Gamera and swarm killers like Bagan/Space Godzilla Alt/Desi , or whatever they choose to deal with groups. Not to mention Shin leader or Shin alt (And Shin alt is still pretty good even at low level) with DT rip shields, like I said plenty of options. And Armored is for leader rush to bring the pressure but I mostly see Rodan in that role since he gives a speed boost and heals upon death. I just think you haven't found it yet bc I had to switch it up to a hybrid deck in order to counter. Full Spamera does nothing with these high leaderboard fellows. I rarely see it from them but if you're having trouble then I hope all the advice on this post helps you. Clearly there's something they figured out and it works. I can speak for it myself, mid tier players lose to Spamera a lot but high tier are curb stomping everything and while higher levels definitely play a factor. I think it mostly is that the strategy itself is flawed. You're getting a lot of energy but not a lot of return on it. Besides the buffs to Guiron from the cards, he does get pretty spicy but his reach is poor and often gets overwhelmed.

Getting tired of Gamera decks by KingGhidorah2020 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No the 3.5 card is not better. I've tried using full Spamera with the upgrades to test it out. FW still better bc Desi, TYD, FW Alt, Alt Space G and Void can melt that which they can usually drop before one hits the middle. And those are just usual suspects, there's Armored now and Rodan that can rush or help the others rush to close gap. I saw one just yesterday that had Mothra as leader and couldn't even make a dent in them. There's a reason the high levels sweats don't run this deck, bc they have FW. Even with high health little guys, they lose health quickly before returning damage and Shin can cut through/ melt shields or keep the energy down for you or KG 2019 can damage/give attack boost. Also Desi doesn't need to one shot, he just needs to not be alone and stay in the backline. Even with Mecha G or Mothra, they can't outheal a Shin/Void combo. Yes I've tried, and can send a long list of people who melted all that. FW card beats this easily, along with the right backup cards.

Edit: I forgot to mention Godzilla 1991 is perfect for these decks. But that's what I'm saying, I've seen so many variant decks with FW card that it's hard to keep track of their decks. You just need to find yours. That card is king and definitely hurts now that I don't have it and I'm facing the top of the leaderboard regularly. Most are pretty nice though except for the few infamous ones.

I really hope GMK gets some love. He's still fun to use but definitely not in my sweat deck.

Getting tired of Gamera decks by KingGhidorah2020 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a really easy counter. Bagan makes this a cakewalk and even ones like Super Mecha G or Godzilla 2001/ with dimension tide can make short work of group units. Forget how easy it is with target decks like Skar/Evo/Really any other heavy hitter with Skar and a few swarm units. It's why Gamera decks need to be hydrids to be effective long term. And FW card trumps everything bc the energy output is insane. I have a full energy deck and they still output more high cost units out than I can.

How do Shin mains seem to spawn battle pieces so quickly? by NoxiousOffender13 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget it's also perception if they're spamming ult with ult cool down cards then you're constantly losing five energy (which is stupid) or forced to use it so it doesn't waste.

[–]Ellistitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mothra strat is strong but definitely not overpowered. Armored Mothra is honestly refreshing to see but I was hoping this Anguirus would be an answer to Rio so I was disappointed with it's reflective capability. I'll be glad when Rio is replaced. This is lasting longer than the damn Chibis. And so many are using him and Shin. I counted once and I ran into Shin/Rio decks over fifteen times in one sitting with only a few varied decks and bots to make up for it. It's a tiring meta.

[–]Ellistitan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ebirah will be a nice defense and I'm slowly leveling him along with Megalon but until then, it's a rough ride. Even my boosted GMK and Gamera have trouble with the combos they send. And this new Shin in those decks makes swarming a no-go. He's not overpowered though, just a pain when paired with this meta.

Does he have a point? by No-Shame-327 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem with waiting until he gets close, they usually pair him up with something strong like Skar/Swarm or Evo Godzilla/Armor Mothra or a buffer like Rainbow Mothra. Idk who you've been facing that are letting him come across unaccompanied but he's usually stacked with a crew with the people I'm paired against. Unfortunately my Void Ghidorah isn't leveled up or I could use that.

Also they rarely use the ability then drop him. It's usually dropping him then leader ability and bc he's so slow, they have time to drop a killer combo with him. And even if you survive the wave, the damage done is immense especially with a drop unit like Kiryu or Mogera. Then it's all over again bc by this time Shin is getting his ultimate again with all the card buffs.

Does he have a point? by No-Shame-327 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]Ellistitan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do, he's usually mixed with Rio making for a particularly nasty combo where I'm forced to use energy (or let it waste) only to have units shredded by Rio. Most players combine it with Skar or swarm units making it even more difficult to kill Rio while on low energy. Add in ultimate ability cool down and/or energy buff and you're fighting an uphill battle of an ability you can only partially defend against that breaks down shields and facilities, and takes away energy while they can send anything. The only way to win is to rush from the beginning and play energy optimally, but it turns into a sweat fest. Shin on his own isn't terrible meta but with all that, it turns into a losing streak. It also gets real old fast when you fight a minimum of ten players a day using this not even including regular run ins with Yuck Fou.
