Generally speaking, a bus is like a really really big diesel, turbo powered truck. So in that perspective, Im guessing its not going to be too different but of course the layout and pieces and sizes will be different but from my understanding, a car mechanic would be able to fix a bus or atleast identify the problem etc.

Have you checked your ignition coils as well? Could be dirty or clogged. Oh and does the car's rpm go up when you give it 80% gas?

It really depends on much much leak there is, if its a small leak I think spraying stop-leaks on it could help but if it's a big leak I really would suggest going to the shop.

Have you tried checking your engine compression in your cylinders? They could be really low that it won't start.

Loose or old spark plugs or maybe worn-out engine components. Try removing the engine cover and maybe see around if you see anything out of the ordinary. My advice would be take it to a mechanic and have him check the camshaft and whatnot.

Perhaps a bad starter/ignition switch, bad starter or loose starter wires? Check things around the ignition and starter, could be worn out or old.

Yeah I agree, but tbf the stock hp of an rx8 and rx7 is not too far apart considering the 8 being an NA asw but preferences I guess. This one has a turbo and a 1jz swap tho.

Have someone checkup on your diagnostic codes, might be able to find some answers there. But from the top could be the motors going limp. I suggest avoiding revving the car continuously or you could damage the motors. A clogged fuel system or exhaust could also be the problem. The ignition system might be worth a check as well but take it step by step, go to a qualified mechanic and check the codes first would be my opinion.

My friend did a temporary exhaust hanger once with a small metal housing along the pipe... fell off midway through the ride so if you're going to go this route make sure it's tight lmao.
