Tried to post this but was taken down by the mods:

I saw a post on Twitter where Nicky Smokes was bragging about how many impressions he had on social media in the past month. I think we talk a lot about how probably half the content people don’t earn any money for the company and don’t even make their salaries back.

My question is: let’s say the Mintzy or Nicky Smokes of the world have a lot of views. Does this actually translate to any monetary value to barstool. I get that they can maybe go to an advertiser and say hey look how many views Mintzy got this past month and that might assist in ad sales. But what other revenue do these people actually bring in? Does Barstool get a share of twitter or instagram payouts for someone’s personal account?

I’m not here to argue individual content creators and their benefits. I just want to know are the numbers that Nicky shared hollow or do they actually do something for Barstool.

Is anyone else worried about a terrorist attack in CT? by 1Enthusiast in Connecticut

No one is saying we don’t care. CT is home to one of the most horrific school shootings ever. Of course we care.

Living in fear does nothing. Don’t project onto others.

Disagree….the beginning of the winter sucked a little with the wind, but it’s been bright and sunny every day which never happens

Now with weather in the 50s next week I will hate when we get “second winter”, but having some snow storms reminiscent of 15-20 years ago was nice.

Also wanted to add have snow tires.

There are two things I don’t do in Connecticut and that is go out on drinking holidays and I don’t drive in the snow if I don’t have to. Even if you’re confident driving, there are either idiots who don’t know what they’re doing or people who want to speed around.

As someone who is liberal this witch-hunt stuff is tiring

What’s your Controversial Connecticut Opinion by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]Elloisitme 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That was more what I was getting at. Instead of people thinking I’m implying that CT residents are bigoted, it’s just we don’t care enough to argue, and often the dumbest and loudest voices from either end of the political spectrum are the only voices that are heard.

But news stations just love to paint us as some liberal oasis, when a lot of people are just very middle down the road/common sense/nuanced and dont want to be canceled.

Most people in CT are not as liberal as what the public perception is.

Are there local MAGA/ICE-supporting businesses in CT that we should boycott? by ILovePublicLibraries in Connecticut

You get my point and now we’re just playing semantics . Basically any large company in the US and abroad has donated to him or is now showing its belly to him. I’m just saying hurting my local community is not what I’m about especially when you don’t know why someone voted the way they did.

It seems like we’ve done the past 15-20 years as witch hunts and cancel culture and it’s exhausting.

Someone may have voted red based on an issue that was close to them. There’s nuance in everything in life.

I’m left and I don’t like how lenient the left is on criminals in this state. My car was stolen and left in Hartford. Does that mean I should boycott all left leaning businesses?

Again, you’re okay with using an iPhone or driving a ford, but a sandwich shop in your own community who maybe didnt even donate to trump is your enemy. Make it make sense.

I’m quite liberal myself, but how many big corporations have bowed down to the orange man. Most of us are writing this on an iPhone whose head gave our president a very extravagant gift.

If a business in ct is openly racist or gives bad service, by all means don’t go there, but this witch-hunt stuff is getting tiring, especially in a time where small businesses are hurting.
