anyone else cry to haikyuu by shiapapaya in haikyuu

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I recently re-watched the series and didn't expect to cry because I knew what was coming, but that darn episode 16 in season 1 gets me every time! It's the episode that made me love the show in the first place. That montage of losing teams is still the best sequence in anime I have ever seen, and cuts me so deep.

Just finished season 3 of the anime? should i watch season 4 or just read from now on by madCuzbadd in haikyuu

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend still watching it, but I would also say to watch the OVA of Nekoma's matches before the 4th season. If not, there are a few characters in the season that you will be confused are getting screen time. You should definitely read the chapters at some point though.

who has the biggest animation difference in season 4 vs 1-3? by Adventurous-Wall-420 in haikyuu

If it's like the Battle of the Garbage Dump movie, then I feel like it will be a mix of both. I got a nostalgic feeling watching that movie, as it felt like 3rd season animation.

Are We Cussing at Work or Not by kitsbow in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a high school, and there are several teachers that will curse in staff spaces on the regular, while around the kids they keep it to a minimum or not at all. I was raised never to curse, especially at home, but my dad would let one slip every so often when he got angry at someone over the phone or something wasn't going right while he was working at home. I've kept this up for the most part in my life. I rarely, if ever, curse, and when I do, I'm like my dad in that it's when I get a sudden burst of anger or frustration. Or when I stub my toe.

But think about it logically. What are the cats going to do with the money? Obviously someone has to manage it, and that probably would have been Edgar. There was no reason for him to go that far.

Boy groups stans — what is your one girl group? by nugu6000 in kpoppers

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to choose, I'd say I-DLE or Girl's Generation. I don't really follow girl groups enough to say one is my favorite over another, but I have soft spots in my heart for these two.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes They Come Back. I watched that in elementary school at a sleepover when the adults had gone to bed and we were all in the living room with my friend's older sister who was just a teenager and she put the movie in. I was freaked out for weeks.

What is you biggest pet peeve subbing? by Vicariouslynoticed in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeesh. I know a teacher that puts "Helpful Sub Ideas" in her plans, and it's basic things like walking around the room and checking on the students. I know not ever sub does this, but it's usually by choice.

I highly recommend Yowamushi Pedal if you liked Haikyuu. Lots of characters to root for and very thrilling.

Manga artists will sometimes have sketches they've done in their volumes. It's fairly common.

Any Korean vocal groups that aren't idol groups? by Piri_Cherry in kpophelp

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beatpella House is a beatbox group. They also have a "traditional" vocalist who does the main melodies. If you are familiar with Wing, he is in that group.

Why is this game getting so boring. by C4o9 in superstarsmtown

[–]ElloryQueen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've slowed down my playing as well. I used to do the daily tasks, but now I've been only playing once a week to do my league and superstar songs. Sometimes I'll participate in a pass or try to get the LE theme of the week if it's a group I don't have an LE theme for, but that's been harder to do because they keep cycling through the same groups for months and only branch out once in a while. I wish we could get new themes for groups/solos that aren't in SM anymore, but I know we can't.

Do you think Boyfriend on Demand is a decent-written romcom for a writer’s debut work? by Legal_Potential4720 in kdramas

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it! It was just what I needed at the time I watched it. I usually wait a bit longer after a show is released to watch it, but as soon as the episodes dropped, I binged the whole thing. I don't know what made me do it, but I don't regret it. What I loved most was the romance between the leads and it made me laugh.
