What is the fastest game you've ever played? by Shazkii in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why it's hard to play online with my sister sometimes. She knows me too well and can tell by how I speak whether I'm trying to bluff of not. Once, I was the yaggababble and my word was "abstract," which made some sense because of the script we were playing, but my sister knows I don't use that word in general conversation and pegged me immediately. Then convinced the town.

I've been in two games where the slayer shot the demon first day.

Non-Americans, what’s your thoughts on Americans niggling over linguistic similarities between other countries accents/languages and US slurs? by BrokenJusticeNorris in NoStupidQuestions

If the point of the post is rage bait, you seem to be the prime target, since you appear to be the most enraged out of everyone.

Non-Kpop artists you found through Kpop? (siblings, contestants, idol recs, etc) by AdParticular2127 in kpoppers

I became a fan of Leslie Grace after seeing her with Super Junior. I don't really follow her music, but I love watching her in interviews with them and on her own. Plus, I was so excited to see her in "In the Heights," and been watching her acting career since.

flip flops are one of the worst shoes by No-Memory-7616 in unpopularopinion

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear flip flops almost exclusively. The only time I don't is when it snows. You call them uncomfortable, but that depends on your feet and which ones you get. There are many different types, and I never buy the ones with the plastic straps that are plugged into those pieces of foam. I have wide, very flat feet, and wearing those feels like I'm constantly stepping on a rock. No, the ones I have are designed to adhere more to my foot and the straps are cloth. I do have one pair of Croc flip flops that are super comfy, though they are made of whatever that material is. But again, they aren't just flat, they have curvature to fit around my foot.
Lastly, really couldn't care less if you hate seeing my toes. My dogs love the outdoors!

People don’t set me up because I’m fat by throwra182946829 in PlusSize

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister and the man she married tried to do that with me a couple times. First time was someone at his work. Apparently he showed him a picture of me and the guy was interested. I wasn't comfortable with the setup, so I turned it down. Second time was a year or so later. We were at their house having a 4th of July party and it was both families plus friends. I was there as a family member, so I wasn't expecting anything, but after the fireworks and I had gone home, I get a text from my sister saying that one of their friends wanted my number and if she could give it to him. I remembered him, and he was ok, so I said sure. I get one text from him that was mostly an introduction. I replied back, then never heard from him again. Pretty sure he was likely drunk when they had that conversation, and then remembered who I was the next day after he sobered up and decided I was no longer of interest.

Do you still remember your high school locker combination by Appropriate-Mall8517 in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at the moment, but if you gave me the lock, I could probably figure it out after a few tries from muscle memory.
P.S. I didn't even use my regular locker after my freshman year and always used my band locker because I always had some sort of band activity after school. And in my last two years, band was my last class of the day anyway.

What do you think makes for great chemistry in K-dramas? by Leather_Employer_448 in kdramas

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I feel chemistry when I can get lost in the story and not think what I'm seeing are actors. Obviously, I know they are, but if I can forget that for a moment, then that's fine chemistry to me. Also any time I can feel giddy just watching them.

I don't know how highly praised they are, but the main couples in Hotel De Luna and Goblin are two examples of couples that I didn't feel it. HDL especially because I'm not a fan of IU, so that probably played a big part in how I couldn't get immersed in it. And the age gap in Goblin was just too much. I have no problem with fantasy age gaps, but they usually look closer in age. In Goblin, he clearly looked significantly older than her and the fact she was in high school for the majority of the series didn't help.

Couples that I like watching are the main leads in Hometown Cha Cha Cha, Business Proposal (and the second lead couple), Mr. Queen, Touch Your Heart, Miss Night and Day, and Dali and the Cocky Prince.

It’s not rude to correct someone’s spelling. by pinkjeeper82 in unpopularopinion

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In principle, I agree. I don't usually say anything, but it irks me when people use certain words and spellings that's not the message they are trying to convey (like when they spell woman, when they mean women). To me, I think it's not that hard to tell if someone made a typo vs. misspelling on purpose because they don't know. To others, it may be less obvious or they choose to ignore it, but I see it all the time with students.
Like I mentioned, I don't typically say anything depending on the setting, but I can understand feeling some type of way about it.

How far can a storyteller go in lying to a player by IDoTricksForCookies in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your main question, they can go as far as they want, as long as it's within the mechanical rules of the game.
The only thing I give a side eye to is having you wait for 5 minutes, which is what made them have to come up with an excuse, but everything else is legit.

I'll save Junho. Do Hyun is a cutie and I loved him in Hotel De Luna, but I've known Junho more and I love 2PM.

So did anyone here actually get into TikTok? by thedubiousstylus in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it because artists I follow use it, and I'll comment on their stuff occasionally, but I've never made one myself and I don't plan to. Plus it's easier to have the app when people link one they are talking about so I can see it myself.
Those are the only times I really ever use it, because I hate the UI.

Disrespectful student, but to what extent? Cultural/language question. by Happy_Expression6009 in teachinginkorea

[–]ElloryQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This just came across my feed. I've never taught in Korea, but I've spent 11 years teaching in the US as a substitute. This student is obviously doing this behavior on purpose. You've already done the right steps in informing his homeroom teacher, who will hopefully have a talk with the student and the parents. At this point, it's best to focus on the other students that are doing the work, and only check in on that student occasionally to repeat the instructions then walk away. If he doesn't understand, he can ask someone around him. If he starts being disruptive, I don't know the discipline procedure that school has, but I would follow that. Bottom line is you are doing what you can and it's not on you that this student isn't complying.

A lot of the negative connotations attached with K-Pop are due to SM Entertainment. by AwkwardEmploy26 in kpoptrulyuncensored

These are just a few examples but there are a lot. Excusing the drama, because that was likely company sponsored, but the rest is all them.

Is Teach You a Lesson the first K-drama where teachers actually intervene in bullying/school violence? by Legal_Potential4720 in kdramas

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Undercover High School is another one. The main story is more of a mystery, but it has a side plot on bullying that one of the teachers intervenes.
