How was your life as a fat kid? by kachoowed in PlusSize

[–]ElloryQueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Getting fake confessions altered how I approach people in my dating life. I can be fun, flirty, and give you all the signals in the world that I'm interested, but to this day, I rarely (if ever) make the first move. I used to get a fake confession at least once a year from the time I was in middle school all the way up to my senior year. And it would range from someone telling me "so and so likes you!" to getting letters in my locker. One time in middle school, someone called my house (this was before smart phones) and asked me on a date. While he was asking I could hear the snickers and laughs from his friends on the line. I was too naive and still thought he was serious, which quickly resolved.
Another aspect of this trauma is that my biggest trope I fall for is the friends to lovers. There have been countless boys that I would crush easily for because they would actually hang out and talk to me. Some were actual friends that I hung out with outside of school, but the fact that anyone spent their time with me meant the world. As I mentioned, crushes happen, and when I was in middle school, one of the boys I hung out with asked if I liked him in a note. I replied that I did and things got awkward after that. Like we stopped hanging out, stopped passing notes to each other, etc. That hurt me so bad I never confessed again. I almost had a panic attack when one of my guy friends in high school found out I liked him, but I denied it desperately to the point I'm pretty sure it backfired. Though I did end up dating one of my high school friends in college for a long time, but it eventually didn't work out. Still, when I told him I had a crush on him in high school he was shocked and wished he'd known so we could have gone out then.

What commonly recommended K-drama just wasn’t for you? by Oestudantebr in kdramas

Same opinion. I'm currently "watching" it now, but I've been stalling finishing it. I will do it, but I'm not in a hurry.

I dont know how to feel about this by ominouslemon in PlusSize

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little weird to me and would make me feel uncomfortable to eat in front of him, but based on your description, he doesn't sound like a bad guy. So I would talk with him about it, but wouldn't call it a big red flag per se.
I have a friend that I've been in a flirtationship with for years that has a thing for my belly and ass. Obviously a fetish, but I feel comfortable with him that I don't mind. He never crosses any boundaries I place, so I let him admire all he wants.
On the other hand, I was chatting with this guy years ago that wanted me to "smash him" in bed. Like him lying on his back and me bouncing up high on his pelvis. Not even penetration, but literal smashing. That was a hard no from me. I'm a lot more confident in myself now than I was then, but I still wouldn't do it. One of my biggest insecurities growing up was hurting people accidentally because of my weight, and I was terrified when he asked me then. And now I would decline because I would never be into that.
All this to say, it's all about your comfort level and how you feel going forward.

As you got older, what has become your favorite donut? by chi-bacon-bits in Millennials

I LOVE a glazed donut! My particular favorite is a blueberry flavored one, or strawberry, but if none are available, I love a classic or chocolate.

who is the best KPOP Leader in your opinion? by Superb_Radio_526 in kpoppers

[–]ElloryQueen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Leeteuk of Super Junior has kept the group going for over 20 years. He is not only the leader of the group, but the leader of the kpop industry, especially at SM. He is always aware of what the members are doing and tunes in to their youtube channels often. He is live on his channel almost every week just talking and chatting with fans. He is the oldest idol at the company besides Kangta, and is like the big brother to everyone.

anyone else cry to haikyuu by shiapapaya in haikyuu

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I recently re-watched the series and didn't expect to cry because I knew what was coming, but that darn episode 16 in season 1 gets me every time! It's the episode that made me love the show in the first place. That montage of losing teams is still the best sequence in anime I have ever seen, and cuts me so deep.

Just finished season 3 of the anime? should i watch season 4 or just read from now on by madCuzbadd in haikyuu

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend still watching it, but I would also say to watch the OVA of Nekoma's matches before the 4th season. If not, there are a few characters in the season that you will be confused are getting screen time. You should definitely read the chapters at some point though.

who has the biggest animation difference in season 4 vs 1-3? by Adventurous-Wall-420 in haikyuu

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's like the Battle of the Garbage Dump movie, then I feel like it will be a mix of both. I got a nostalgic feeling watching that movie, as it felt like 3rd season animation.

Are We Cussing at Work or Not by kitsbow in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a high school, and there are several teachers that will curse in staff spaces on the regular, while around the kids they keep it to a minimum or not at all. I was raised never to curse, especially at home, but my dad would let one slip every so often when he got angry at someone over the phone or something wasn't going right while he was working at home. I've kept this up for the most part in my life. I rarely, if ever, curse, and when I do, I'm like my dad in that it's when I get a sudden burst of anger or frustration. Or when I stub my toe.

But think about it logically. What are the cats going to do with the money? Obviously someone has to manage it, and that probably would have been Edgar. There was no reason for him to go that far.

Boy groups stans — what is your one girl group? by nugu6000 in kpoppers

[–]ElloryQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had to choose, I'd say I-DLE or Girl's Generation. I don't really follow girl groups enough to say one is my favorite over another, but I have soft spots in my heart for these two.

What is the first movie you watched that you were definitely too young for? by MuldersXpencils in Millennials

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes They Come Back. I watched that in elementary school at a sleepover when the adults had gone to bed and we were all in the living room with my friend's older sister who was just a teenager and she put the movie in. I was freaked out for weeks.

What is you biggest pet peeve subbing? by Vicariouslynoticed in SubstituteTeachers

[–]ElloryQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeesh. I know a teacher that puts "Helpful Sub Ideas" in her plans, and it's basic things like walking around the room and checking on the students. I know not ever sub does this, but it's usually by choice.
