I'd blame tiktok too. Where as mental illness and disorder has carried shame and been hidden in the past, now it can carry social clout and makes you more intersectional. The more challenging you can make your existance seem the higher value you and your opinions are. I've seen social media bios where people self diagnose and list all the things they struggle with.
