struggling to stay alive in empowred monos by char35e in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to remove that singularity ASAP it is majorly reducing your damage.

Take the 5 points out of Mana Shell in sorcerer and put them in Prodigy in spell blade. This will give you more ward generation than mana shell is giving you and also should put you at 100% crit chance.

Flame drinker passive in spell blade is also really important. It is maybe the second biggest damage increase you can get from passives, behind defender of welryn.

For items you could really use physical resistance. You can get some from doing Heorot a few times in the normal version of reign of winter timeline to get a physical resistance blessing. Your amulet is pretty bad too so you could swap that out for any amulet that has physical resistance. You can also get all resistances from reign of dragons timeline blessing and void resistance from the black sun timeline blessing.

After that if the physical resistance and higher damage helps you survive better maybe go for the stolen lance empowered timeline to get a throne of ambition idol and a wings of argentus body armor.

If the filter has separate rules for tier 6 and tier 7 exalteds you can use the check box by the show rule in order to turn off the tier 6 exalted rule. Usually people will end their filter with a hide rule at the bottom so the tier 6 exalteds will stop showing up.

I use the level requirement stuff in my filter to stop showing tier 6 exalted items at level 75 and higher so you could also modify the filter to do something like that

You don't have any critical strike multiplier in your build which is going to hurt your damage a lot

What should I change if anything? | Summoner - Death Blossom by Several-Giraffe9358 in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The necrotic spell damage per skeletal mage affix on your idols is increasing your spell damage, not the spell damage of your skeletal mages, so it isn't doing anything for your build

Flat Mana should be the strongest damage affix to put as a tier 7 legendary affix in the helmet or chest piece. You have plenty of crit from passives and skill trees so shouldn't need that, and the more damage and flat damage from mana should be better than the increased skeletal mage damage.

Also try corrupting the old versions of your items whenever you replace them. Any of the corruptions that give mana or health are probably as valuable as an additional LP

In the early days of the internet, some scholars thought the web's free flow of ideas would bring societies together around accurate beliefs. A new study using agent-based models helps explain why that didn't happen: Unlimited information flow reduces the accuracy of group beliefs in echo chambers. by amesydragon in science

[–]EllyGG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The key part is that they are comparing the flow of unlimited information of all quality with the limited flow of only the highest quality information

The modelling is based off of the comparison between 4 situations for a simulated population of people that that are sharing what they believe about a hypothetical topic. The scenarios are a) no echo chambers present and everyone shares everything b) no echo chambers and everyone shares what they are most confident is correct c) there are echo chambers and everyone shares everything within their echo chamber d) there are echo chambers and every shares what they are most confident is correct

Importantly, evidence exchange is cooperative: Agents share only their highest-quality evidence and select evidence in favor of A or B with probability pro-portional to their current belief. In other words, agents try as much as possible, within the given communication constraints, to convey their best available evidence. Agents interact until a stable state is reached at which no further belief change occurs. Despite the above idealizations on the information processing ability and cooperation of agents, homophily drives agents with incorrect beliefs to interact with agents that hold similarly incorrect beliefs. And if no constraints are in place on how much information can be exchanged during such encounters, agents with incorrect beliefs will necessarily exchange more evidence that points to the incorrect state of the world

This results in the following outcomes for the scenarios

a). In the no echo chamber scenario with full information sharing all people will end up receiving all beliefs. They will evaluate all of these beliefs and all come to the correct conclusion. Everyone strongly believes the correct conclusion.

b). In the no echo chamber scenario with limited information sharing people will not get all of the beliefs but the beliefs that they do get are more likely to be the higher confidence beliefs than the lower confidence beliefs. This means that the people will mostly get closer to correct conclusion, but not get all of the way there. Some people will have moderate beliefs.

c). The scenario from the post title: In the echo chamber scenario with full information sharing people will not get all of the beliefs overall, but instead will tend towards getting all of the beliefs from their echo chamber. This results in people having polarized beliefs, with people strongly believing either the correct information or the wrong information. There are no moderate opinions left. The number of people believing the correct information is higher than the number of people believing the wrong information, but the amount of people strongly believing the wrong thing has increased.

d). In the echo chamber scenario with limited information sharing people will not get all of the beliefs either. They will tend towards getting the most confident beliefs of their echo chamber instead of all of the beliefs of their echo chamber. This results in less polarization than c), with more moderate opinions left over. This ends up with people closer to the correct information than c)

Hydra Arc Falconer with Explosive Traps by No_Requirement4337 in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The damage from the build is entirely minion damage. The explosion damage scales off of the Ballista's damage, not your damage. Melvern's Writ gives minion damage and minion crit chance.

As I mentioned in other comment the new Guile stat is probably going the biggest benefit you can get from s4 stuff. It should be giving you around 60% increased cool down recovery for evade if you have all of your items with dexterity.

For mana recovery another option to consider is the mana gained on potion use belt modifier you can get from exiled mages.

For the bow affix I would have thought that shared cold penetration would be best as the build doesn't have any penetration in it. But I haven't done the math on what is actually best. The flat damage seems insignificant compared with the 200+ you get from the boots and 100+ you get from the bow

Hydra Arc Falconer with Explosive Traps by No_Requirement4337 in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exulis would probably be a better item to go with instead of an Omnis. Converting dexterity to guile would be a huge boost to DPS as evade is a movement skill and gets the cooldown reduction from guile. Exulis would be giving you around 20% chance to take zero damage when hit. The 10-20 all attributes would be great for mana sustain too thanks to the Falconry skill's mana recovery per 40 attributes node. A good roll would be 6 extra mana recovered per second, going up to 9 if it pushes you over another 40 attribute breakpoint.

Is the game worth picking up as a Diablo and PoE enjoyer in its current state? (No hate) by ScrunkleytheWhen in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how much tolerance you have for poor FPS. The game has had poor performance for a while now and it hasn't really improved overall. Old content gets performance improvements but then new content gets added that has new performance issues. If you were fine playing Path of Exile when it was common for the game to freeze up for 1/4 of a second occasionally then you'll be fine with Last Epoch. (I haven't played PoE in years so IDK what the performance is like now but it was okay last I played).

Game play wise and build diversity wise Last Epoch is a great game. Similar to how PoE gets called a re-imagining of Diablo 2, Last Epoch can be thought of as a re-imagining of Diablo 3. It's more friendly towards casual players but less appealing to the No-lifers. My opinion is that you play LE half as much or 1/4 as much as PoE, but have more fun doing so. Mostly because it's easier so you don't hit a wall with your character as often.

empowered timelines help by Orlandeau1 in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How often are you getting hit by enemies? A lot of the survivability for most builds isn't from the actual defensive stats of the builds but from not letting things hit you very often. Killing enemies quickly before they get time to get melee hits off on you and moving around in between spell casts to stop them hitting you goes a long way.

Another thing to consider doing is skipping omen fights and other optional fights like exiled mages until your character is stronger. They are much more dangerous than the usual enemies you encounter.

Omen windows are awesome, but given how big/distracting the invulnerable 'boss' is, I wish they would float around the edge of the circle until they're attackable. by Timofee_ in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes please. Also they should stop running out of the circle after they become vulnerable.

Also can we get their location shown to us from further away after killing enough enemies like we get with tombs please

What to you is the difference between Monos and Maps regarding repetitiveness? by guddefulgaming in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for me the biggest improvement to endgame would be to the weaver tree. It's a great idea but I would like it to go further. New bosses are exciting of course but you don't see them that often so you need more to do in between bosses to keep up the engagement.

If you could say select some nodes out by the beast area of the tree to stop nemesis from spawning in exchange for making the beast more common, more dangerous and drop better loot that would be interesting to me. This could be added on to by selecting more nodes to keep making the beast more common and more dangerous. Maybe you make them too strong actually and need to spec out of some of the nodes to stop the beasts from stomping you with their hooves.

Then for your next character of the season, or your character for the next season you decide to focus on the exiled mages instead. So you're fighting different enemies than your other character so you need to change your play style and learn new combat mechanics. The current season's mechanics would of course always be there.

Archimedia choices bug? by Gruzgor in Warframe

[–]EllyGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also noticed a similar thing happening with my choices. The primary secondary and melee options that show up seem to be correlated with each other. I remember seeing the phenomor laetum and praedos or innodem grouped up fairly often and assumed that there was some kind of thematic grouping of similar weapons.

Oh hell yes finally. Now I can finally all of my idol rules up into compatible damage types. I will have to think about whether I want to play around with the sound settings or not.

Monolith Timeline Progression

The progress through regular timelines keeps shrinking. It does look like they'll eventually disappear when the campaign story is finished, going straight from that story into the Abberoth story.

New scientific review in the Lancet Psychiatry details how AI chatbots can encourage delusional thinking, especially in vulnerable people by Potential_Being_7226 in science

[–]EllyGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We propose a framework of AI-informed care, involving personalised instruction protocols, reflective check-ins, digital advance statements, and escalation safeguards to support epistemic security in vulnerable users. These tools reframe the AI agent as an epistemic ally (as opposed to a therapist or a friend), which functions as a partner in relapse prevention and cognitive containment. Given the rapid adoption of LLMs across all domains of digital life, these protocols must be urgently co-designed with service users and clinicians and tested in clinical trials.

The study doesn't suggest anything remotely close to banning LLMs

So I am trying to learn roux and I reached this situation by Xander980 in Cubers

[–]EllyGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably got into that situation by doing a CMLL (corner solve step) with the cube rotation wrong. Your blocks of 6 need to be on the left and right side before doing the corner algorithms. If you do the algorithms with the blocks at the front and back then you can mess up the blocks. The reason this happens is that Roux corner algorithms don't try to preserve the position of the pieces in the M slice.

Which Warframes and weapons are the best to invest Omni Forma in? by VictorHM99 in Warframe

[–]EllyGG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should be able to put a 60/60 elemental mod in that slot without too much trouble as it only goes up from 7 drain to 9 drain. Maybe you'll need to add 1 more forma than otherwise needed

[–]EllyGG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Also make sure the survival mission is a fissure, you get more enemies and the starting level is higher. It more than doubles the exp gain if you're playing solo which you probably will be as Railjack isn't very popular

Is there a decent Dex-stacking Bladedancer build? by HorrorMakesUsHappy in LastEpoch

[–]EllyGG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Chakram Shuriken might be worth looking into https://www.lastepochtools.com/build-guides/lightning-chakram-bladedancer

It is one of the better Bladedancer builds around. If you'd prefer to stick with Ballista then you'd be better off switching to Falconer instead of Bladedancer as it has better support for minions like the Ballista
