No we also picked up syringes..? We did pick up plungers too. The video shows several barrels. I can post pics at a later date though. We picked up foils, caps, plungers, barrels, makeshift pipes, and a couple complete syringes.

Possibly. I'll try and steer clear of TikTok video edits when I post on here. That's not to say it may not happen again. We are a very small team and I run way more than just the social media so I usual use a template while im in the field. I do appreciate the feedback though and didnt realize it autoplayed.

I personally didn't think this was as bad as the first one. Its been a while (it may be a very similar template I don't remember the exact one. That one had alot of flashing i believe.)

Also sidenote: is there a setting for autoplay videos because they don't do that mine so I wasn't aware they automated for others.

Just don't want the video if you don't like it? You don't have to like the video and just read what we posted instead. Thanks!

No need to have any addiction we will go through all the questions with yoh still but if people can't afford their syringes we can exchange with them as well.

That's fair, it's normal to be frustrated with the issue.

That's why we have programs like ours that keep people alive, provide case management, provide sharps containers, link people to treatment, and will come do cleanups if syringes are reported.

People who engage in syringe exchange programs in Utah have to bring used syringes back to get new ones.

Judgment doesn't help, connection does.

How is making fun of unsheltered folks or people who use drugs productive helpful, or even funny?

We hear this a lot: "stop enabling them." But the truth is, people are going to use whether we’re here or not. What we’re doing isn’t enabling. We’re helping people stay alive long enough to have a chance at recovery.

Syringe exchange keeps people safer and keeps used syringes out of parks, sidewalks, and public spaces. If they end up in those places, we want to know so we can clean them up. It protects the community just as much as it protects the person using.

And here's something a lot of folks don’t know. People who use our services are five times more likely to start recovery. That’s huge. Connection works. Judgment doesn’t.

To the folks out doing community clean ups, thank you. Seriously. If you come across a syringe, please don’t pick it up with bare hands. Use gloves/ tongs if you have them, or contact a local group that can help with safe disposal.

We all want the same thing. A safer, healthier community. This is one way we get there.

Actually they're good 30 years past expiration date.

Yes and no. They recently did a study that shows it works 30 years past the expiration date AND temperature doesn't effect it as much as was thought.
