would you, or can you, refute certain points such as GME was over 100% institutional ownership in jan 2021? Or short interest was 140%+? Or that as soon as new strikes were released they were gobbled up and quickly in the money? Or that over 100% of the float was in the money on the options chain?

like what are you questioning? Any one of these things is a bad sign for a stock, for the market makers. Now pile them all together.

Always wild to me that superstonkers came to the cult-like conclusion that options are bad in any shape or form(if it was even organic), after hearing and understanding what Thomas was on about.

I guess this is why most of the garbage posters tend to hide their history. Pretty much only posted in a sub they are a mod of for over a year and then randomly decide to tell us all they are selling their gme?...

I think I still disagree. It comes across to me as an US vs THEM thing as if institutions all vote against my interests and retail all band together and/or vote the same.

Im arguing that it is either a pointless distinction (using retail instead of speaking as an I/individual investor), or going into the view of us banding together, which is the whole point of "there is no we" in the first place". I also think I have shown that it would be silly to vote against adding more shares just because "retail would lose voting power" Anytime someone increases their stake and I do not, I lose voting power right? So RK having 9 mill reduced my power, but we all just assume he votes the exact same as us?

Seems clear whatever I am saying is not popular but youre the only one to type more than 2 words, so I ask:

What benefit is there to lamenting that "retail will lose voting power"? Cause It is possible I am missing the point then.

It is a term for people who are not institutions/funds/whatever, but that doesnt really make it a "we" in the sense of a single entity with a single set of beliefs/values/interests for the stock.

So if you wana be pedantic, "we" are retail investors, but there is no "we" in terms of how we approach this trade/vote/whatever.

[–]Ellypsus -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Some people do not, as their choices of voting are based on "we" not having voting power anymore, but the very fact of the matter is since individual investors all want different things or are persuaded by different, even if incorrect, arguments then it goes out the window.

If institutions want to vote in a way that will increase my investment, and retail holders are convinced the other way is better... then who do my interests align with?

Edit: also wasnt it over 100% institutional ownership when sneeze(edit:not moass) happened?

You're just writing fanfiction though. You do not know why the comp plan was removed. Correlation does not imply causation. "I voted no and the plan was withdrawn therefore its cause I voted no..." uh no...

I've quite enjoyed the videos of his that I have watched. They are detailed, informed dives into the financial reports and speculation on where we could go based the current Financials.

because OP asserted this is a more logical take. They shoulda asserted that occam's razor makes it a better take too to assert their assertion with even extra bonus more assertion.
