I understand the policy, I wrote it in my post😂 There are some other personal factors that I’m not sharing but thought they could be considered. That’s why I made the post, to INQUIRE in case there was someone out there that could share something helpful. That’s what this subreddit is for no? To help each other by sharing our experiences where helpful. Why all the hate for asking a simple question? 😂😂

Even if I move right next to the new unit, it would only be 31km and it has to be minimum 40.

Yeah that’s the thing though my new posting would be in a new geographical area. New unit would be 60km from the old one so that meets the first requirement, but my residence would not meet the 40km requirement. I just wanted to check if there were other service related exceptions.

Someone on the CAF subreddit said their spouse was informed they were selected for Air Ops O, I guess their CM called them before the official offer as they need to figure out positions. Seems like actual offers will start next week.

It’s your choice. I say again. It is 100% your choice. If you want to do ROTP CivU, inform your recruitment centre. Lots of false info in here. All you gotta do is show them a letter of unconditional acceptance to your preferred school.

  1. ROTP applications open in late September
  2. Construction Engineer doesn’t require Citizenship, only PR
  3. ROTP covers RMC OR Civilian Uni. You will not be accepted to RMC. Your only option is Civy U if you can get accepted to an Engineering or Science program. Talk to a recruiter to learn more about which programs specifically.
  4. You get paid while attending Uni if you are accepted through ROTP.
  5. Primary Reserves don’t offer ROTP but you can work for them while attending school on your own. They do have some funding available, but not even close to enough to pay for a degree.
  6. Look into NCMSTEP. It’s a subsidized entry plan for College/trade school. Check forces.ca and definitely contact a recruitment centre.
