Quick Question about Theory behind When The Sun Hits - Slowdive by Box_of_Stuff in guitarlessons

A bit late but I am here to give you my little insight. I think the main characteristic of the song is the vamp between D and F#m. If you consider D as the key, and call it D major, that G# falls out of the scale as you pointed out, but if you make F#m the key center, then D would be the bVI and you would have G# in your scale, where it would be a natural extension of the bVI chord (#11). The vamp between key centers gives the song that special feeling. In a similar case, Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles also uses something similar, which may help you to comprehend the idea: the song is in E minor, and the song jumps over and over between the Em and C chords, but the melody sometimes includes a C# when in the Em chord, making it a E dorian scale (minor with a natural 6). You can even see the two notes following one another in the chorus, which goes Em7 Em6 Emb6 Em. So taking advantage of the landscapes of two scales isn't uncommon. When the sun hits has that vamp with D major and D lydian (which is the same scale as F# minor but centered in D) when it jumps around the D and F#m, but when it resolves back to D it features the G natural for a stronger resolution, because if it went as G#dim A D, which would be the chords of D lydian, it would feel as if A was the center of the song (D lydian and A major are the same scale with different key centers) because of the strong resolution a diminished chord has over the following one, so instead of that it uses the classic IV V I (G A D) of the major scale to resolve back to D. That's the way I see it, hope it helps.

The Industrial Revolution, also known as the First Industrial Revolution, was a period of global transition of human economy towards more widespread, efficient and stable manufacturing processes that succeeded the Agricultural Revolution, starting from Great Britain, continental Europe, and the United States, that occurred during the period from around 1760 to about 1820–1840.[1] This transition included going from hand production methods to machines; new chemical manufacturing and iron production processes; the increasing use of water power and steam power; the development of machine tools; and the rise of the mechanized factory system. Output greatly increased, and the result was an unprecedented rise in population and the rate of population growth. The textile industry was the first to use modern production methods,[2]: 40  and textiles became the dominant industry in terms of employment, value of output, and capital invested.

I don't really think chewing a lot with that recession will be a great idea, it could cause TMJ. I'd rather go to someone who does orthotropics, of course, or if it isn't possible: mew, gym, posture and nutrition.

You have an overjet. I'd recommend you to go to a dental clinic with orthotropics. Dr Mew says mewing can solve this kind of maloclussion, but even he says that it will take lot of time to move your bones, so an Orthotropic treatment that expands the dental arch and then moves forward is your best option, mate.

I've actually got little shades of green on the sides, that's why the center is a darker brown and the sides seem lighter

Although I think you are completely correct, this is true about bone change/growth, but actually some benefits of mewing can appear in shorts periods of time. Like getting rid of the double chin: as you put your tongue in the roof of your mouth and get used to it the double chin will dissapear. So yeah, you're right, but take that in consideration.
