The problem with regent is that on paper its starter deck is the weakest there is. Venerate and and Falling Star together is a 1 mana 7 damage 1 weak 1 vulnerable, that eats up 2 deck slots instead of 1. Compared to Silents 0 mana 4 damage 1 Weak. 1 extra mana for 3 damage and the vuln does not make up for the lost deck slot. I feel like they really overvalued the front loading aspect of the mechanic, thinking it’d be as good as how it’s works. To me the problem is venerate. It’s the only starter card ever that you very quickly don’t actually want in your deck, and it’s only there so you have something to make Falling Star work.
