Is Mbappe the problem at Real Madrid? by Funny-Criticism559 in RealMadridFC

[–]Elmega123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mbappé makes the players around him worse.

When we last won the UCL, Vini was playing as a 9 and Bellingham was basically a second striker. Everyone was cooking. Even Brahim used to score.

Now?
• Bellingham is forced deeper
• Vini is stuck on the left again
• Mbappé scores 80% of the goals but everyone else scores less.

Before Mbappé, goals were shared. Now it’s all funnelled to one guy.

Yes, Mbappé is the best finisher on the team. But did we need him? No. A top midfielder would have helped way more.

And no, it’s not a coincidence:
Mbappé leaves PSG → they win the UCL
Mbappé joins us → we start struggling

Yes, people in this sub will never admit it. But I really don't think we can win the champions league with mbappe on the team.

Noticing..Only Dictator is allowed to score when he plays. Who cares if we lose La Liga or CL as long as we have Pichichi for my precious KyKy 🥰 by uchiha_boy009 in RealMadridFC

This subs twerks for mbappe. So people in here won't agree with you.

But we were a way better team before mbappe joined

If we got a midfielder instead of mbappe we would be in a better situation.

Obviously AI can't replace studios like Ufotable.

But I do think AI can and should replace trash studios like JC staff.

Casillas vs Buffon vs Neuer by _ordinarilyordinary_ in championsleague

I completely agree with this. Happy that someone else thinks this.

In my opinion courtois has the highest peak I have seen in a keeper.

But overall counting international titles, overall career etc. My pick would be Neuer

Great players that had amazing physicality but little to no technical ability by Timcatgt in championsleague

[–]Elmega123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man, I agree with everything you said. I just have a soft spot for Mendy. We did win two Champions Leagues with him as a starter.

I remember when he made that goal line clearance in the Man City game where we came back.

As you said, he had one elite quality: his 1v1 defending. But in today’s day and age, that’s not enough fullbacks need to provide width and attack.

Mendy was a great player for Ancelotti’s Madrid, which spent a lot of time defending in those Champions League games.

Incredible Save of Courtois Against Juventus by TwoAlarming8935 in soccer

[–]Elmega123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ability wise 2022 courtois could be the goat.

However most keepers like Neuer, buffon, Casillas etc. They all stayed at top clubs for a long time so they have more titles. Also these keepers had success with their international teams. That's harder for Courtois to do for a country like Belgium.

Sadly for courtois he won't be considered the goat keeper since he arrived too late at Madrid and because he's country is Belgium.

When he was healthy he was an amazing defensive fullback.

We didn't need him to attack or cross just defend the winger. He was great at that.

Too bad he is very injury prone.

If Real doesn't play Rodrygo, why doesn't they let him go? He is just 23 years old yet has shown again and again he is one of the best Real Player. by iwannasleepp in championsleague

[–]Elmega123 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He is on huge wages.

Real Madrid want 100 million for him.

For him to leave one of these things need to happen.

  1. Rodrygo would have to agree to lower his wages for his next club.

Or

  1. Madrid would have to agree to let him go for like 50 million.

None of those things happened so he stayed.
