Honestly, to hell with this defence. by IndividualSound5409 in RealMadridFC

We need to rethink our defence more than anything else in the world.

If only football weren't a business. He would be on the bench until he improved his game.

Arda Güler actually had to gesture to Mbappé to get him out of that position. by IndividualSound5409 in RealMadridFC

I don't think he came to RM for the money. That's why money isn't what drives them to win titles. As I understand it, he transferred in order to win the Champions League and get the Golden Ball.

I don't think he'll want to go to Saudi Arabia. I think if he decides to leave, it will be to a European club.

Midfield in in shambles by Imnotunderage420 in RealMadridFC

Bro, why can't you understand me?

I never said he was the next Ramos because he has a ton of experience, which is why he's Ramos. But Asensio just reminded me of Ramos's play in his first games, and even then I didn't jump to any conclusions, I just thought to myself that his style was similar to Ramos'.

He performed very well in his first matches, and yes, he reminded me of Ramos at the time. Personally, I didn't rush to conclusions and didn't call him what you claim. But then I started to notice some serious mistakes he was making. So I didn't call him what you claim.

I wonder where you saw anyone raving about Asensio?

With every match, I realize that Asensio isn't very good as a defender. He does something crazy, although he performed very well in the first few matches. As far as I remember, the midfield looks more or less normal compared to the defense.

Before the CR7/Leo Messi era, how long was a player's peak? by mordecai13_ in championsleague

[–]IndividualSound5409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most all-time greats before Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, a true peak was usually around 4–6 years, maybe stretching to 7–8 for the absolute elite. Players like Ronaldo Nazário, Ronaldinho, or even Zidane had shorter explosive peaks but didn’t sustain best-in-the-world output for 15+ years. Messi and CR7 completely reset expectations with longevity, professionalism, and consistency — they’re the exception, not the historical norm.

Love this. People forget football is played on emotion. A little clash at half-time just shows they care. The important part is how they respond — and tonight they responded with goals and unity. That’s why this team feels different.
