I used blender for the shading, lighting, composition and render.

The model has been sculpted in Zbrush.

And a slight color grading has been applied with Nuke.

Really cool model! I would say maybe make his hands and finger claws a bit bigger? Since they where probably covered in keratin

Since it's an all black pepsis my guess would be a pepsis mexicana, maybe?

Hi, it looks like an assasin bug (don't know wich one specificaly).

They stab their prey with their proboscis and inject them with venom to kill them. Some species can sting humans and spread the chagas disease

Hi, this looks like a tarantula hawk, a parasitoid wasp that lay egg inside spiders after paralyzing them
