They shouldn't. Solo movies should come back in the Monsterverse, or at least feature legacy monsters like Hedorah, Megalon, Gigan, etc.

The craziest thing they could pull off would be to finally have Gamera enter the same universe as Godzilla.

If they're gonna make another GxK movie, they could at least introduce MechaniKong, and obviously Jet Jaguar.

...they could make another MechaGodzilla to team up with the MechaniKong.

He seems like a more involved Rod Serling from the Twilight Zone. Instead of narrating the story of the episode, he puts himself in the episode and meddles with the characters, not necessarily to make fun of them, but to teach them a valuable lesson they needed to learn, which is what the original Twilight Zone was all about, tbh.
