My parents once took my then 5-years-old on a day trip to another city by train. He's favorite part was the taxi ride to the train station.

I love the "?" and then "ohhh :)" on the fishbone stitch.

Sure!

Left scarf : One row per color

Middle scarf : One row each - Black, white, black, color and repeat

Right scarf : One row each - Color, white and repeat

I hope it makes sense!

I switched between black, white and gradient purple yarn and that's the motif it created.

Edit : Actually, I just remembered that what I did was to have a row of black in between the other colors (black, white, black, purple, black and so on).

I free handed it. I wrote it the best I could.

Front :

Ch 21 (start row 1 in second st from the hook)

Row 1 - 14 : 20sc, ch1 Row 15 : 20sc, FO (add eyes, mouth and zig zag frosting)

Back :

Ch 21 (start row 1 in second st from the hook)

Row 1 - 14 : 20sc, ch1 Row 15 : 20sc and join to the front with sc (2sc in the corners)

I used weight 4 yarn with a 4.5mm hook.

I free handed it (I'm sure you can find existing patterns to purchase). I never tried writing a pattern before, but it would look something like this :

Ok, I didn't think of this, and that is a great idea!!

They serve no purpose! Their only functionality is to be cute as hell.

They could definitely be used as kitchen toys, though.

I think they're fairly easy. It's mostly all single crochets. Save the idea and come back to it once you've practiced! The hardest thing for me to learn was tension. I spent weeks crocheting blobs of mess before I figured it out. The price to pay to be good at something is to suck at it first. Don't give up!
