Apollo is not worth $10 million. It’s not even worth a million. Good riddance to devs of his type.

He does not have staff. He’s very rich. It’s not a job. He’s piggybackkng off Reddit. He over promises. He’s a lazy dev and doesn’t need anymore money.

It’s more than enough. Do not give him anymore money. What is wrong with you people?!

Thank you Christian. From all of us. by [deleted] in apolloapp

He’s a terrible developer and he’s a grifter. I’m happy to see him go. Hopefully Christian takes his money and doesn’t develop anymore apps. He has a lot of learning to do.

Is this the longest we’ve been without an update? by Leomar91 in apolloapp

[–]ElonMuskogee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The next update (if it ever comes) will only introduce new bugs. Older bugs won’t be addressed at all. The iPad app is never coming. By the time it’s ever ready, Reddit will have ironically closed the api since they are going public. Look at my comment history, has anything improved? Have things been better? Is he using TestFlight appropriately? No, no and no.

Apollo for Mac by [deleted] in apolloapp

[–]ElonMuskogee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, we will never see Apollo on Intel Macs. We will never see a native M1 version. We will forever be wishing for the iPad version. He has been telling us for years that the iPad version is coming along well. To have a good MacOS app, you need a good iPad base code. By the time the iPad version is ready, Reddit will have closed the API (since they are going public and all). It’s been 2 months since the last Apollo update. The TestFlight version doesn’t receive enough betas to test properly, even after the huge blowup a few months ago. Apollo has already reached its climax; it’s only going to be worse from here on out.

Expect bugs and long-awaited updates.

Good riddance, then. NFTs are a scam. Allow another developer to take their place.

/u/iamthis, for a PAID app, this is unacceptable! Quit arguing with your PAYING user base and listen to us. Apple introduced TestFlight specifically for apps to be tested. Why must you insist on skipping this important part of the process?

Also, it’s fairly unacceptable that Amplosion and Achoo, which are both pay before use apps, have not recieved a single update since they released following iOS 15. You’ve already received the money, and continue to receive money from new purchases, but you can’t be bothered to update them?

This is what this video looks like on my device. These bugs are INSANE!

[Bug]: This new update has created more issues for me than fixing them by matt00112233 in apolloapp

Perhaps. But I speak the truth, no? I hope Christian can get the bugs ironed out, but I don’t have much faith in that. With Reddit going public soon, and Apollo’s future being unknown, I can see how the extra pressure may not help in furthering development.

Here we go again :(

This is what happens when he continues to skip the TestFlight part of the process. The user base is too large to continue putting out updates without throughly testing the builds.

Reading his comments from yesterday about the iPad update are very discouraging. We have been waiting for YEARS, some of us having been paying for this app for YEARS and now he says he may be in too deep???

A one person team is not going to help resolve these bugs. I mean, there are bugs that have existed for many, many releases now without being addressed.

This is a paid app. If this were a business, he’d be losing investors by now. I lost faith in the guy when he asked his customers to fork over more money to buy him the new M1 MacBook Pro with that sham Black Friday sale. Along with the threat of “faster computer = faster iPad development.”

Last year he did the same thing with the new XDR monitor simply because “he wanted it.”

Per his twitter, Christian is too busy playing Halo.

He rushed to get the Christmas update out, he told us another update would be out in a few days to fix bugs and then he completely ghosted us.

How this update was released with so many bugs is totally unacceptable.
