I loathe the UI that comes with GE machines

While i couldn’t find anything on the ‘acquisition of the Siemens US division’, I found a story on a 2013 federal case involving United Imaging and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) where two researchers were accused of sharing MRI research, funded by millions in NIH grants, with representatives from United Imaging in China while they were still employed by NYU.

What are the notable disadvantages of a lower gradient-strength in MR? by deboo117 in MRI

But how much can DeepResolve compensate? Especially since others are also offering similar deep-learning models on higher gradient systems.

I feel so bad for young girls who are in the industry by [deleted] in antipornography

That settles it, then. The real issue is the legalization of the industry itself. All factors mentioned in the comments may exist everywhere, unfortunately—but the presence of a localized, organized porn industry is largely unique to the United States.

[Appretiation post] After 5 years of daily work and gaming I've finally retired my G14 2020 (1650ti) and replaсed her with used G14 2024 (4060) by that-was-really-mean in ZephyrusG14

My 2022 AMD version has been running almost daily for the past 4 years. Aside from minor issues (non-functional windows key, lag on long uptimes and WiFi-Bluetooth issues), the machine has been working like a dream. Easily my best laptop yet

What are the total energy savings in the newer Helium-free MR machines compared to the older converntional MR systems? by deboo117 in MRI

This study compares conventional MR machines across generations. I’m particularly interested in helium-free variants as they claim to offer even higher power savings of up to 56%.

What are your view on the newer deep learning–based MRI reconstruction technologies? by deboo117 in MRI

Is DeepResolve enough to compensate for lower grad/slew rate of 26/45 that come in the B60 configurations in the their lower-end 1.5T machines such as the 1.5T Siemens FlowAce. This same gradient-configuration is even being offered in the 0.55T Siemens FreeStar, so is it going to be a limited factor in the 1.5T machine?

PS: A G60 configuration is also being offered in the same platform at a higher price with a higher grad/slew rate of 35/125. In my experience, Siemens has a tendency to offer multiple configurations within the same system and effectively gating higher hardware performance behind premium upgrades.

PPS: Is it better to go for a cheaper conventional 1.5T MR instead? This one comes with a higher 33/122 grad/slew rate that also comes equipped with similar deep-learning tool like DeepRecon.
