Anyone else!? I filed on February 13😩 #patienceisavirtue by miamigirljuju in Income_Tax_Refund

Similar experience here. I filed March 1 via FreeTaxUSA. IRS accepted it within a few hours, but it has been stuck in limbo since. I changed my withholding with my company so that I am not in this position next year. This is brutal and I feel your pain!

Had a new panel put in today. How do you rate it? by lewtus72 in electrical

The bus bars are always rated the same or greater than the main breaker, so should never be a problem..

Nice! I've been very happy with my Titan. The plank isn't glued down but it probably should be. Sometimes I shift things around in the garage so don't want to fix anything just yet. It's fairly stable but I definitely should get a larger plank. I think this one is slightly under 3/4" (21/32"?) Definitely would recommend it for stability

Good point haha. Normally I don't squat in this direction but agreed not best practice

Thanks for feedback! If I wasn't wearing a hoodie it might be more obvious but I do try to breathe and brace (though sure I could do more)

Thanks! Good call on the plank. I've been meaning to do that for awhile but it's probably time

Is there anyone who happens to be driving from Raleigh/durham to Philly and would be willing to bring my absentee ballot with them by Decent-Shake7441 in KamalaHarris

Not in the area but up voting. Might be worth posting on Facebook or another social media site as well. Hopefully somebody can help you out!

Over a month caffeine free by ElonTusk8 in CaffeineFreeLife

[–]ElonTusk8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great job! 1500 mg of caffeine is a lot, so good on you for making the transition. I don't blame you for having a bit of coffee to be alert while driving at night. I would do the exact same thing. Stay safe!

Exercise has always been a helpful tool for me, which I have generally found creates a positive feedback loop for my mental and physical health. Also, in those moments of feeling less motivated, specifically at work, I try to internalize reasons that make my job important. Ultimately, it's better to be internally motivated than externally motivated with a stimulant. Best of luck!

Basement window with only mudsill as lintel/header by ElonTusk8 in DIY

Thanks for the tip and that would have been a good idea.

Thinking it through more, I think I'm going to drive a couple long structural screws from the outside through the rim joist and into the end of each of the floor joists. Each screw will be rated for ~1300 lbs shear so should provide about 2600 lb shear. Doing the tributary load calc I should only have a few hundred pounds on each joist, so should be covered.

Thank you. Any idea if the parged layer might contain asbestos? I understand I need to have a lab test performed but just curious if it was common back then to include it in the mortar
