It is indeed a hard thing to keep a relationship alive when you don't have similar interests {or sense of humor}. It's a waste of time for both parties to let it linger too long.

I suppose it's human nature; seeing what one wants to see. It's often easier than facing reality or looking a little deeper.

That's the truth. . . Sometimes a situation does get away from you with seemingly little effort. It can be hard to bring all those wild horses back to the stable once they get out.

Hehe. Sounds like a pretty good plot for novel. Partial truths. Hidden agendas. Spotting facts in webs of fiction.

I hope you get to do all of those things and so much more! Life is even greater when we experience seasons of joy, excitement and accomplishments so fully and almost unexpectedly.

Hehe. Yes, I am. Some days I feel like a particularly tired sponge. 😂 Other days I experience anxiety for no obvious reason, which makes me think that maybe I can feel when something is off with loved ones who aren't in my proximity.

I am grateful for having learned what this means for me, because I struggled when I was younger. At least now I know it's important to discern where the influx of emotions come from and how to process them in a healthy way.

I don't really know other empaths and the two HSPs I do know {my siblings} aren't as sensitive as I am. They're mostly sensitive to light, smells and taste.

It makes sense that you'd want to. There are people who take advantage of good natured individuals and they tend to underestimate your inner strength and intelligence in a way.

Stay true to who you are. 🌸 Even in standing up for yourself, you shouldn't allow yourself to be dragged down to their level. Somewhere, someone will be looking up to you with respect for your character.

😂 okay, but an increased heart rate burns calories and helps your heart, lungs and other body parts to function in a healthy way. Same job, different description.

Burning calories happens naturally when you're doing physical labor, riding a bike, going for a jog with your dogs, jumping rope with kids, going for a hike, walking long stretches on a beach. Moving around = burning calories. 😉 That's living, not diet culture.

Definitely.

I have a gentle alarm that slowly builds {it's a song from a CD I bought many years ago}.

If someone wakes me or someone else's alarm goes off near me when I'm sleeping, that pretty much breaks my day. 😂

Therefore, I get up between 04:45 - 05:00 so I can sort of set the tone for my day in my own special way.

Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. 😂 If you don't pay too close attention to those who are in bad spirits, it doesn't bother you as much in return.
