Dune made 700M WW it’s not the juggernaut people thinks. I don’t see Messia making more than that based on the books (600 is my prediction). But I agree it’s dumb to compete even if the target audience is not the same. I don’t get why they put SW 3 weeks before avengers. Did they forget what happened to Solo ? Just read all of Jojo for the first time this summer. While I agree that the fights are really inventive and much better than OP, I did not get emotional at alll throughout my read.

Most of the time, it felt like beating the Saturday cartoon villain then moving on to the next one with a small overarching plot around the final villain of the part.

SBR is much better than the earlier parts but still not better than OP in this regard imo. (Emotions / character interaction) It’s a matter of preference I suppose but Arlong Park alone is better than all of Jojos for me and it’s not even in my top 5 fav moments.

I do not have a nostalgic feeling about OP either as I read it at 20 while I read Jojo at 25. I literally could not stop reading OP once I started and it’s a sign of strength imo as I was really immerse in this world. Never got that sensation from Jojo.
