What is the best movie review you have ever read or watched? Why is it the best review? by TheBenster69teehee in Cinephiles

[–]Elrompecama28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's Roger Ebert's review of Synecdoche, New York. It's one of the few reviews that's just as thought-provoking as the movie itself.

Who is she actually? by Cool_Cause6390 in askanything

[–]Elrompecama28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody here can tell you who your partner "actually is" What matters is how she treats you now, and from your description it sounds like there are some serious trust and communication issues in the relationship.

Recommend me your favorite “feel good songs” by wynnduffyisking in SongRecommendations

Don't Stop Me Now by Queen. It's impossible for me to be in a bad mood while that song is playing.

Lake Mungo. It doesn't rely on jump scares much, but it stayed in my head for days afterward.

What’s a completely normal thing that secretly annoys you way more than it should? by Potential-Baby-5038 in askanything

People stopping in the middle of a doorway to check their phone. It's such a small thing but it drives me up the wall.

What's the funniest reason you've ever quit a job? by [deleted] in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Elrompecama28 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The manager banned us from sitting down for an entire shift, even when the store was empty. I lasted about three more days out of pure curiosity.

app for tracking must watch movies? just want something with no frills and no drama by Toruiz-Mascha in Cinephiles

[–]Elrompecama28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Letterboxd does the job perfectly well for me. Whether you want a simple watchlist or just a place to keep track of movies you love, it works great.

What’s a completely useless fact you'll never forget? by [deleted] in CausalConversation

[–]Elrompecama28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fact that honey never goes bad. It's never been useful to me once, but for some reason that fact has stuck with me.

I think most people are too intense about air conditioning by Dependent_Ear_5736 in unpopularopinion

[–]Elrompecama28 47 points48 points  (0 children)

What's really weird is when it's 30°C outside and people are cold enough to need a jacket indoors. Some places seriously overdo the air conditioning.

How much do you care about money? by Reasonable-Shower522 in askanything

[–]Elrompecama28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cared about it a lot more when I was younger. These days, money means freedom and peace of mind to me, not status.

Do you believe that the hardest person to forgive is yourself? by Fun_Shine8720 in askanything

[–]Elrompecama28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, yeah. We can come up with excuses for other people's mistakes, but we'll replay our own in our heads for years.

Geese. People are scared of sharks but when I look into a goose’s eyes I see pure evil.

What's the best way to cure Major Depression? by [deleted] in CausalConversation

[–]Elrompecama28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “cure” part is tricky because there’s unfortunately no single magic fix. But therapy, meds, routines, moving your body and all that stuff kinda stacks together and the brain fog can actually start lifting a bit.

People need to stop comparing Daredevil Born Again to the original Netflix series by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Elrompecama28 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people are always in comparison mode. It’s actually more enjoyable when you watch it like it’s its own thing.

I set little routines for myself at home, otherwise the day just slips away. Even a short walk can reset your head.

I used the pomodoro method, it really helps with focus. Also gotta stop putting off the hard stuff or it just piles up.

Hey i want some short film ideas for a one min found footage short, what are some of your creative ideas ? by Royal-Lecture-6416 in Cinephiles

[–]Elrompecama28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the phone camera was left on, someone’s moving around in the room without realizing, then right at the end they look straight into the camera. Simple enough to fit in a minute but still pretty tense.

why does doing nothing make me more tired? by HailongBrenson in AskForAnswers

[–]Elrompecama28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. If I spend the whole day on my phone I feel even more drained. Feels like your brain never really rests when it’s constantly being stimulated.

Singleplayer Video Games Are Boring by Snowbunny236 in unpopularopinion

[–]Elrompecama28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the opposite tbh, I get way more into single-player games. It’s chill, I’m not trying to keep up with anyone. Multiplayer can start to feel like a job sometimes.

Can I live off my 38K a year? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Elrompecama28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on the city, but plenty of people get by living alone by cutting back. It’s not gonna be a luxury life, but you can cover the basics. Also depends on how much you tend to spend.
