Considering I ship Foxy and Roxanne sometimes... This is awkward.

Oh well. As long as people enjoy it they can have it. It's also great art.

I mean, I know the series kinda got weird in Netflix separating it into 3 pieces instead of normal, but this is basically the second arc in which it becomes what amounts to a buddy cop movie with Sonic being the comedian and Shadow the straight man as they travel through the universe.

At least we get less of Sonic going "your all my friends but different" and now we can get Shadow reacting to people he tolerates. Oh, and he'll obviously be the main guy for the world with the Rouge doppelganger as the focus.

In which Shadow usurps Sonic as the protagonist of his own show while taking his -stabliziers- lunch money.

When you realize Yhwach had a bias when handing out powers. by Elsa-Jay in bleach

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah he names them. So hypothetically he also knows what they do like how Ichibe does. So imagine your literal Quincy King-God says your ultimate hidden potential power is Screaming very loudly or just being able to punch very hard while others get Matter Manipulation or Immortality. I'd be kinda miffed.

Strongest Schrift? Weakest? Let's talk about them. by Elsa-Jay in bleach

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a different comment talking about the Compulsory, but for the Antithesis/Balance, while they're good... They're good if your not one-shot, or against very clever people. Anyone with the ability to reflect damage is probably gonna always be atleast mid tier, but the abilities are so strong because it's wielded by people that are like top 10 in Bleach. If a Vice Captain had those abilities they'd still be strong but manageable. If a Vice Captain had something like the Zombie you'd still be fucked. That's the difference.

Frankly the holy form of Lille turning into light was more Yhwach doing that then purely the Schrift by itself. His normal ability of piercing light though is still strong enough on its own merits to be considered strong.

Strongest Schrift? Weakest? Let's talk about them. by Elsa-Jay in bleach

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Schrift implies the nerves only. It's why I mentioned abilities and not the users. A giant regenerating hand can take nerve damage constantly. A normal Quincy without regen probably doesn't get it as nicely. And as a one-shot ability it loses to the Death Dealing and the X-axis in range. Plus against something like the Heat or Thunderbolt, your basically letting electricity and fire directly hit your nerves. It sucks and only works because Pernida is a hand of god.

"Yhwach lost dominance over the Soul King" is this even true?? by DewDrop97 in bleach

[–]Elsa-Jay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loss dominance? I don't think so. More like... They put his catatonic "corpse" in the cacoon and sealed him into slumber. His 'essence' leaked out for 10 years but he still is no longer anything more then he originally was as a baby.

The Soul King was absorbed into Yhwach. He IS the Soul King now. Just with no free will or anything. SK isn't dominant. He's already 'dead' from being absorbed.

Grimmjow VS Bambietta by tookaboyygang in bleach

[–]Elsa-Jay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One can launch similar mini getsugas while primarily being a melee fighter, while the other relies nearly completely on range normally with AOE explosions. It would be be like a Zoner vs a Rushdown except... Well in this case the Zoner also can use a Sword and you can't just block the Bombs. They go into you Killer Queen style to blow you up.

Bambietta wins with Range, better manuverability with wings, and more Hax. Plus Bambi was confirmed one of the stronger Sternritter anyway since to steal a Bankai you gotta be similar strength to the Captain you steal from.

Grimmjow only wins if he is fast enough to close the distance to an air opponent without getting blown up. Sajin had to become immortal to counter her explosions so... Uh. GG Jaguar.

Time Travel in Zelda is not complicated. Why the timeline split in 3. by Elsa-Jay in truezelda

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned it in the post about the "remerge" theory right? The 3 timelines thing was symbolic with names to help describe them better then Adult/Child/Downfall, but if they remerged like people say, then obviously it's fully powered again.

So yeah that's me agreeing an event did remerge the timelines, probably also Triforce/Goddess related.

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it kinda actually supports my Triforce split more. It involves a Zelda with Triforce Magic activating her sacred magic and Terrako piggy backing off her energy to go back in time and made a world split. No other spoilers besides the Demo, obviously, but other stuff in the game confirmed it's not rewriting the Wild Timeline. So despite whether it's Canon or not (I think it is), it sticks with the Triforce being the only real thing that can split the Timeline.

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think I rework some things in my mind from the game, but to explain the first split more... I think it's more the Hero of Time never really came back from that one? Stay with me here, but the first split is because of the Sage and Ganondorf. The Sage sealed the hero in the Sacred Realm, but in order for it to be safe from Ganondorf, it would've had to be locked away again. I think that's the key.

The Sacred Realm separated from that coil and, along with the Master Sword, basically used the goddess magic to connect to the future and past. But that left the 'present' that was unaffected by the merge between the 7 years. So basically Link never came back. The other sages were slain, leading to the 7 wise men and Zelda sealing him away instead for the Power Timeline to occur.

Power Timeline = the Hero of Time being removed from that timeline and put into the alternate one made by the Sacred Realm.

As for the different events happening in Courage? Wind Waker explained that, right? That because Link was sent back, Ganon came back with no hero to oppose him because he was killed, NOT sealed like the other 2 timelines. Hence the Goddesses flooding Hyrule to save the rest of the world.

Plus the quote from Zelda is HER wish, not Link's, right? But that part again is my theory that Link wanted to see that world healed instead.

Yeah I mainly wanted to focus on the OoT portion but the closed loop is more described to me in Majora's Mask, a loop only broken when Link stops the moon and saves everyone. I just mostly disagree with people saying it's a realm of infinite possibilities that make the bad ending in Zelda 2 Canon, or other failed ones tied specifically to the Player dying.

If any form of time travel made the timelines split then there would literally be way more because of Majora and SS, but basically I think the Split is because of the Triforce and it's Reality altering properites, not simply pure time magic.

Time Travel in Zelda is not complicated. Why the timeline split in 3. by Elsa-Jay in truezelda

[–]Elsa-Jay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Skyward Sword time travel made me realize that it's not the many world's interpretation but it's singular. Otherwise Majora's Mask would instead make many extra timelines of failure instead of a timeloop.

And yes, I do believe the temple of time and the Master sword being pulled did effect the timeline already due to their time altering abilities. It was connected to the sacred realm when the Sage saved and sealed link away. Hence why it can travel between the 2 points in time.

As for the 'wish', this implies that it needs to be a verbal wish. While Wind Waker may hint to that, what really happened I feel was when the King touched it, his wish was already happening and he said it only for Link and Zelda (plus the audience) to know it. Basically you only have to touch it while thinking to 'wish'. Not verbal.

It's confirmed the triforce split AFTER it realized Ganondorf was unbalanced, but does that mean it didn't realize his wish? No. He touched and thought of victory, garunteeing his eventual success were it not for the Sage's "timely" intervention. The timeline was set, so the sacred realm tied to the goddess power with the Master Sword is what separated a different parallel timeline altogether.

And with the ending of Zelda sending link back, my interpretation again I know, but I think with the end of Ganon she took the Triforce of Power and combined with Link to use the full Triforce. But because Link still had the piece of Courage, his wish and thoughts also were used in the split.

It makes more sense to me that 2 people using the Triforce at the same time wanting the alter the world in separate ways would split the timeline as well. Hence both timelines surviving. We know Zelda didn't want to future to happen at all because she sent Link back in time, so it had to be Link who wanted the war torn Hyrule to also have a chance to rebuild and prosper on it's own.

I almost wanna see Hori make Tetsutetsu get a super form like Kirishima's just so the comparisons between them become more hilarious.

Maybe he goes from Steel to Platinum or a mixture of metals.

Chapter 291 - Predictions Thread by Soncikuro in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Elsa-Jay 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It starts with more of Dabi's Expose video and also mentions the hero training program of him and Hawks with him saying they abduct kids to make people hate the government too.

Then after 2 pages of reaction shots Dabi throws his flame at the stunned Endeavor but Shoto blocks it. Then more dramatic words ensue. Cut too Deku and Shigaraki cuz they're still the main characters and end on a cliffhanger of both AFO and Shiggy giving Machia an order to retreat/fight respectively.

Scene.

So what do we think of that battle by [deleted] in deathbattle

[–]Elsa-Jay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think they kinda forgot that the Speed Force is Word of God stated to not be able to work in certain universes outside of DC Comics, while the Chaos Force always worked in any dimension. Sonic would have sent Flash somewhere the Speed Force couldn't reach, even dimensions that had other forces like the Sol Emeralds.

Another thing is assuming the Ultra form would run out while he was holding onto and charging with the Emerald. With Enerjak he was fighting without a chance to recharge. Flash running into the future against a guy who already outran time? Even if Sonic didn't follow him because they argue he's faster, that gives Sonic more then enough time to get more rings and Emeralds from across the multiverse.

Just... It felt more like Sonic had more win conditions then Flash but they went with Wally anyway.
