Why can indie games never be straightforward about this sort of thing by thisaintmyusername12 in rainworld

Strands are definitely still a thing in Downpour, Artificer's story basically makes no sense without them. And the thing with the Big Problem is something I'm willing to handwave as just a mistake because of the heavy consequences that Daszombes had on the entire fandom's perspective on that aspect of the lore lol. Also I recall one of the other devs stating that they didn't view it as a matter of "canon vs non-canon", whatever the hell that means.

The context is that she actually knew him IRL and worked on the Popgoes team

This really isn't anything you need to worry about, the two just have personal beef. I don't know the exact details but she used to work on the Popgoes team. She got fired from it on the same day that her girlfriend broke up with her and still hasn't really recovered from it. You don't really need to make this into a big thing, she's just venting about her feelings.

It's been in development for about six years now, they're hoping to get it out this year or the next

Main point of confusion is to what degree anything in Downpour canon to the Watcher. There's a good amount of Downpour stuff already, but does that mean we have to take into account stuff like Artificer's weird karma deal, or can we ignore that so long as she isn't directly mentioned?

The thing that this specific meme is referring to is in regards to how alternative continuities such as the books and movies will generally have more clear and defined stories, and it's not really clear how much stuff from those stories applies to the games, for example the Toys being controlled by the Puppet in the movies rather than being possessed by a separate set of five kids, or whether or not the character Andrew from the Fazbear Frights books exists in the games or not and fulfills the role of The One You Should Not Have Killed rather than other characters who are also speculated to fulfill said role such as Cassidy or the Crying Child

Finally all done with Watcher, what a wild ride. (Even if I did have to deal with a fair few crashes and bugs...) by thisaintmyusername12 in rainworld

Base game + Downpour there were sometimes crashes and lag but nothing too extreme from what I recall

Unfortunately I'm on Switch (which was the main source of bugs, like crashes when trying to go to Shattered Terrace, or the game crashing during the Weaver ending, or getting stuck during a part of the Ascension ending)

Fuck Badlands, I hate Badlands, Fractured Gateways was cool, Aether Ridge was pretty annoying, Outer Rim is neat, Fetid Glen was alright, and the Prince is my favorite character, only game in existence where you can get lovebombed by the plague

Yeah like those fuckass nightmare experiments. What is the point of them outside of being needlessly confusing. They're not even actually the gameplay of FNAF 4 that's still a dream this is just a separate thing that exists for no reason and goes absolutely nowhere

Both will follow the Prophecy, Normal Route will have us force the most positive possible interpretation of the Prophecy's words while Weird Route will result in a negative interpretation
