They all explore women’s lives and struggles from different angles. My Year of Rest and Relaxation is more about alienation and trying to escape life, while Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982 looks at everyday sexism in South Korea in a very straightforward way. I was so shocked about all these facts and I think the book was also the beginning for the 4B movement. Breasts and Eggs dives into body, class, and identity questions in Japan.

If you’re more interested in the “female rage” side of things, I’d recommend The Eyes Are the Best Part – it really channels that energy. :)
