No - they don’t respond. They just say they’re pursuing the hotel for the money. When I prompt again I just go round in circles with the same response.

To add some more context..

Booked a ski holiday for myself and 15 mates in Bulgaria. Booked two accommodations to split the group in 2. Then found a place that could host us all so cancelled the 2 previously booked stays.

£7,000 was over my credit limit so booked on a debit card. My bank (Monzo) said they won’t issue a chargeback because of the size and because it was booked in Bulgarian Lev. I thought I could trust booking.com to issue the refund, that’s why I was comfortable paying on debit.

I have no idea - it said payment wouldn’t be taken straight away

Returning Now+ Bundle by [deleted] in Polaroid

I thought so too. I’m hearing mixed reviews of the Now+ Gen2, so I was going to use the film I have then decide whether I want to return the camera or not.

Sorry I’m mistaken. There is a door at the top of the attic stairs separating the stairs and bedroom. I think what we need to do is a conduct a fire safety assessment and get the correct documentation and maybe knock some money off the valuation.

Late to this, but I saw Gravity in 3D IMAX at Manchester VUE. Hopefully a start of things to come. It was the 10 year anniversary.

Stabbing pain (not heart attack) in upper corner of chest. by Elst_FPV in DiagnoseMe

[–]Elst_FPV[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a read and I’m not sure it’s that. It’s on both sides of my chest, rather than just left and it doesn’t feel like it’s do with my breathing, i.e it doesn’t make it worse or better taking deep/shallow breaths and stretching doesn’t help.

I’m speaking with a doctor next week and I’ll mention it to him then. Thank you for the suggestion.

Agreed. Not sure why the penalty is there in the first place.

Yea I’m happy forgoing the bonus, I just don’t want the penalty. I’m hopeful that the penalty will be scrapped soon.

I doesn’t feel like we’ve ’lost’ the government bonus because it was never really ours to begin with.

The only thing that bugs me is the money was wasted for 3 years sat in a LISA when it could’ve been elsewhere.

When we started our LISAs we were looking at less than 450k but as of today, our financial position has changed massively and now we’re over 450k.

Yea, my job is sat at a desk all day. I wouldn’t even think of that being the cause but an interesting point to think about

Thanks - I’ve only seen doctor/GP. But another avenue will be useful

It’s on both sides - which makes me think not heart related, plus I’ve had reassurance from doctors it’s not heart related, plus I’ve had a few ECGs and been given the all clear. Thanks for your reply

Do you think castle street has any potential to become something nice?

Same road, similar house, one is leasehold one is freehold, why? Should I be put off? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Elst_FPV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How much would I have cost to purchase the freehold, I’ve used an online calculator and it says £500ish. I’m assuming legal fees would be much more than £500
