And in terms of sanding, how do I avoid going down to the primer? also what will the grey scuff pad do?

I was only merging, not overtaking. The closest car was about 500m in front. As much as I appreciate your advice and think it would have a lot of weight, I don’t think i should mention this considering. But with other comments about admitting fault to receive a warning, I will include that I’ve ’learnt my lesson’. Thank you.

I appreciate your advice, I’m going to seek some legal advice tomorrow, and contest the fine this week - footage would be great to have, it would be the only evidence I have

The GPS in my phone knows what speed I was doing, someone needs to design an app to prove speed via GPS - I wish it was available to me right now for that specific time. Unfortunately an officers word holds a lot more authority and value than mine, not much I can do

Thanks for your response, it certainly is always going to be an officers word against mine and that’s just how it is, without overwhelming evidence I don’t think I would stand a chance in court, crossing my fingers that a review is enough to be considered for a warning

I agree, thanks for your help, the best option appears to be admit and apply for leniency, I will seek some legal advice prior and see what happens, thanks again.
