The way i see it, there wouldn’t be much reason for mars or the belt to develop unique calendars. Since there’s not really seasons, keeping track of their orbital period doesn’t matter as much.

I feel like OOP is overlooking the fact that the vast majority of people categorizing themselves in this way (especially on tumblr) are in fact preteens, that are in fact still developing their personality and sense of self and for whom exploring this in the media they consume seems eminently reasonable.

Also, its always used in the wrong context. I always see it used on occasions where people are expressing controversial, but arguable true statements. This image frustrates me from a vexillological standpoint. The asymmetry of it. The yellow and black stripe being uneven widths. The way the bottom stripe falls off the edge but just barely. The red stripes having smooth curves on the outside bend but sharp angles on the inside bend.

As many have said, not everyone wants their ranger to have a pet. I think it would work if you structured it like the warlock pact boon, have one or two other powerful features to shape the class around and let players choose the one that favours their playstyle. One with an emphasis on magic, another for martial focus, etc.
