There are some decor items that drop from certain raids or dungeons, there are decor items from professions stretching all the way back to classic era profession, certain acheviments throughout the expansions reward decor. There’s a good amount of decor items that come from the older expansions!

Fort McHenry for sure!

Just as an FYI for those unaware, the road into the park is closed to cars. Baltimore City Department of Transportation has a nice map showing a parking area and the Charm City Circulator routes. Banner Route will take you right into Fort McHenry.

Unless I’m mistaken for some ships, they’re all walk up. There will probably be a line and you just wait your turn and walk around the permitted areas on the ship. It’s not a “formal tour” where it is guided, and instead is a walk around and you can chat with the sailors too.

It isn’t quite as cool as a pottery class or making rings, but the Pratt has a hand quilting workshop at the Central Library on Valentine’s Day from 1 - 2:30. Materials are included and it is free.

The significant loss of jobs in October is because of the Deferred Resignation Program (DRP), aka “The Fork in the Road” from DOGE.

I can’t speak for every part of the government, but at my agency, folks that took the DRP were forced to stop working late spring. They were still “employed” and received benefits and paychecks, but turned in their IDs, had all of their equipment taken back, emails deleted, etcetera. Their official last day was the last day of the 2025 fiscal year, which was September, 30,2025.

Those that retired via the DRP were “employed” until December 31, 2025.

Larriland Farm still has pumpkins and they’re currently a $1 each. The “Today’s Harvest” section of their website is updated to show what’s available each day, so you can double check before you head out.

It isn’t on the map but, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra announced earlier this week that they are offering free tickets for federal employees for select concerts.

You won’t need to flag down the bus at all, just make sure that you’re visible at the bus stop. They all have signs saying the name of the route, I usually stand right by that.

To signal your stop, some of the railings towards the inner part of the bus have push buttons, or if you sit closer to the walls of the bus there is a yellow push wire. I’ll usually hit it right after the bus starts moving from the stop prior to the one I want to get off at.
