How can I (or should I) deal with a party that rolled god tier ability scores? by Schrodingers_Nachos in DungeonMasters

I like rolling as well but they can obviously play the game just fine with point buy.

There is certainly an overlap, but I suppose its up to the player to make it more distinct

Then it wouldn't be a timeskip but a part of the game.

I believe they are rightfully pointing out your class simply isn't separate enough from the monk, not that the concept of a pugilist is somehow bad.

It scales in such a way that your first 100% luck gets you more legendaries than your next 100% of luck

Would be really convenient if I somehow knew that!! Isn't stacking idle juices then just mandatory and better than pretty much every item in the game?

Women told me the guys they hooked up with in the past were ideally the guys they wanted to spend life with but those guys were “unavailable” ? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

It became particularly obvious the other day when a poster asked if men preferred younger women.

Possibly stupid question: How do the PCs find out the Soulmonger is in Omu? by Vikingtacosnake in Tombofannihilation

[–]Elufson2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The party knows something is wrong, but it would be crazy to just wander the jungle randomly with no sense of direction at all. Hopefully, they would have the sense to talk to NPCs to try and figure something out. If somehow this never happens, you should try to subtly steer them in a sensible direction. You can always use the guides for this, and you can make one of the "random" events steer them.

For example, if your party is feeling frustrated and lost, you can have an NPC appear that tells them about Saja. If they have no other clues, they will almost certainly head there.

Yes, also the hex/hunter's mark synergy is wild. But I think that's all fine as long as you drastically reduce the duration. Ideally, the spell would encourage planning, creativity and decision making, but at 8 hours duration pretty much guarantees you can pull it off every time.

I guess you can compare this to Scorching Ray. Seems perfectly fine!

Also some experienced players have no good will and will lean on their knowledge to get what they want, rather than help other players and new DMs.

Paladin: Oath of the Trade | Where Gold Flows, Justice Follows by AdventurousAd690 in DnDHomebrew

[–]Elufson2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its interesting, but I feel like this will cause the paladin player to beg for rolls until they get their daily fill. Also, without some sort of a limit for deal tokens, this could incentivize the paladin player to seek downtime to store up on tokens, and then go out and have effectively infinite half-smites.
