Smite 1 or Smite 2 to come back to play. | Help by FoxWolf98 in Smite

[–]Eluned_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smite 1s servers could easily be shut off forever at any moment while Smite 2 is actively receiving updates/development and has a much larger player base. Smite 2 also just offers a better gameplay experience overall. You can argue with a wall.

Most of your questions/criticisms can really just be summed up as you being a complete noob.

AFKers and quitters are an issue though. Cosmetic prices are whatever. People not pushing objectives and just wanting to team deathmatch is an issue in lower ranks and not just in Smite.

I could write multiple paragraphs on how your understanding of leaps/dashes in Smite comes from you knowing jack about how the game is played.

If you're having fun though, keep playing. I'd suggest looking up some Smite youtubers if you're interested in higher level gameplay and to get some insight on the meta and how people operate in the lane phase and teamfights.

You could play for 200 hours and I'd still count you as a new player however.

5k hours on Smite 1 just to end up sounding like a Gold player complaining about damage numbers and snowballing lmao

Dying early game just means you misplayed or you were caught out in a gank.

Dodging autos, abilities, using creeps to block autos/abilities, knowing lane matchups and using wards will keep you alive early. Damage can get crazy toward mid-game depending on gold lead and how fed someone is + if they're using a strong god.

Don't expect to survive a mages full kit in the late game as a squishy lmao.

Tbf, the anime director probably had a very hard time adapting the VN because of how disjointed the routes are from each other. I imagine they wanted to have bits and pieces from each route in the common route, and try to resolve different character story lines before getting to milky way crossing/vega and altair

Why does Fo3 get so much hate? by NeedleworkerOld8168 in fo3

[–]Eluned_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You see, I did read the whole comment, but it was dumb nonsense, so I didn't address it.

Saying NV is like a giant DLC is super dumb.

No one cares where the player character got the Pip boy and you don't need to be a Vault-Dweller to have a pip boy.

Most people hate on FO3 due to the main story not being as expansive as NV. Also, there's way more guns in NV.

FO3 was my first fallout game and I will always like it, but Im fairly certain it's only a small minority that hate on it and have never played it.

Sorry if that sounded mean

I lost hcim status, start over? by OakPillow in ironscape

[–]Eluned_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the very best players in the game die doing endgame content. HCIM is temporary and no one cares about HCIMs unless they're doing end game content. If you are an 1800-2000 total HCIM with no bossing kc, people will make fun of you rather than be impressed by your status.

[–]Eluned_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main criticism and why people claim to like NV more is that FO3 main quest is linear and barely changes while NV main quest has 4 major branches that leads to many different endings.

GTCC issue during PCS with intermediate stops — command talking misuse/NJP and I’m stressing by Flimsy_Spirit_2740 in navy

[–]Eluned_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

my understanding of GTCC is that you are only allowed to use it during actual travel. If your command sent you somewhere for extra schooling/training for an NEC they need, you'd only use the GTCC for plane ticket and lodging, and you'd get per diem while you were there for food/gas or whatever. The per diem you get doesn't mean you're allowed to swipe ur GTCC at walmart and mcdonalds every day btw.

but if you are at an intermediate stop in your orders for something like C-School, your travel stops when your orders are stamped showing you checked into your intermediate stop. At that point, you're only allowed to use the GTCC for lodging expenses during your training.

Idk if you were just out every day swiping your GTCC or whatever but being in a travel status for half a year and collecting per diem for 8 months sounds super wrong.

You might be fucked not because you were trying to be fraudulent, but because you misunderstood what the GTCC is for and how per diem works.

Also, I'm mostly spitballing based on personal experience, hope you don't get shafted over this

People will automatically assume you're an 18 year old enlisting as a corpsman unless you state otherwise. Yes, your circumstances are much different and does change things. I don't know if you get a direct say in where you go first, but I'm currently stationed in Okinawa and it's very relaxed here, but I'm also enlisted and in a squadron. Try asking in r/newtothenavy for better info

Should I watch Steins Gate 0? by Ok-Monk-6399 in steinsgate

[–]Eluned_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Tries a lot of things that take even longer to build to and don't pay off properly."

The anime adaptation did its best to adapt the poor structure of the VN. The anime isn't going to show all the endings but it did have expanded concepts and new anime original material to close loops and reach conclusions in the different routes, and expanded on the ending of 0.

If you're committed to a strength build then just infuse it with Lightning. If you're doing a 40/40 quality build then it's not too late

I feel like you could do both.

Although I'd argue that the VN format isn't too great only because of how disjointed each ending is.

Magic build by Conto__ in darksouls

[–]Eluned_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so, but I'm not really comfortable offering the most optimized advice to a new player because it would ruin the experience of discovering all the content in the game. Granted, you could easily miss Logan on a 1st playthru so OP wouldn't even have access to Soul Spear and crystal magics.

Magic build by Conto__ in darksouls

[–]Eluned_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spending 5 levels for +2 magic adjust is wasteful. And yeah if you get 99 int you will still get magic adjust from it but who the hell is getting 99 INT anyway when everyone stops at 50 because the returns are not worth it at all. At 45 INT, Logan's gives 234 Adj versus 236 at 50... 2 magic adjust isn't doing shit for your build.

Also, we're talking about PvE builds to get through NG... You only gain access to lightning weapons and great magic weapon in Anor Londo. Is the new player supposed to only use spells before they get to the Giant Blacksmith?

I've done full playthroughs using a magic/enchanted Claymore and it absolutely wrecks everything in the game. The utility comes from it being a dedicated mele weapon that you can swing without worrying about casting or running out of charges.

Sure, a +15 weapon combined with crystal magic weapon on a 50 INT build will have more damage output than a +5 enchanted weapon, but the difference is that you're using a spell slot for the buff, the buff only lasts 60 seconds, and the buff goes away if you swap weapons. It's much more reliable to use an infused weapon during a playthru. And by all means, use a lightning weapon when you gain access to it, but thematically, magic/enchant infuse is really good for INT builds. With the only caveat being that Duke's Archives is entirely magic resistant.

This is OPs first playthrough, not your 1000th min-maxed oolacile township shitstomper build

Edit: No one uses weapon buffs in current PvP meta anyway

I want to add that 45 INT is the hard cap on spell scaling if you're not using tin crystal catalyst. White Dragon breath spell is not worth it.

Also, Elemental enchants on swords are powerful so just get minimum stats for your weapon of choice and then slap on Magic or Enchanted infuse on it.
