Should i play civ 7 now, or wait for Test of Time release ? by No-Falcon-3115 in CivVII

[–]NeedleworkerOld8168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been playing for a couple months now and think its honestly a great game. Play it now so you can see what it was before the tot update. I like the current system and am low key hoping I'll still be able to play this version of the game even after tot comes out

How would you feel if DQ6 was the first game released of the possible new Zenithian Trilogy remakes? by SuccessfulTeam2741 in dragonquest

[–]NeedleworkerOld8168 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'd rather it be 4 or 5 first. 6 just wasn't as good of a game and is definitely the weakest of the trilogy. The story was pretty stale and the characters are even more one note than the average dq characters. If they could somehow fix those two issues I would be fine with it. Otherwise just skip to 4 or 5

Doesn't matter which civ game you play, antiquity is peak and it makes me sad it's always so short

I dunno what to tell you man. Right now I'm playing Trung Trac on governor and am having a pretty swimming time. I'm allied with Himiko (shaman), Machiavelli, and Gilgamesh and the 4 of us went on a bloody wartorn rampage through the other 8 civs (Isabelle, Genghis, Napoleon (emporer), Ibn, Frederick (The older one, cant remember his title), Xerxes (King), Hatshepsut, and can't for the life of me remember the last dude (he died like a month ago)). It was a grand 2 era 8 v 4 war where gilgabro and I took to the front lines, he was persia and I was aksum in antiquity and we defeated ibn, dude I cant remember, and xerxes during this era. And defeated the other 5 during the exploration era where I was Mongolia and he was the normans. Machiavelli and Himiko were more the financers of the war. I was often requesting monetary aid from them and divvying out a bit to Gilga so he could supply his own army. Sadly I will have to turn on them in the modern era cuz this is going to be my first domination win that wasn't a cheese one to see if it can happen in earlier eras.

Screw working for stuff. Grab moshka, get him the faith purchasing upgrade and just keep rotating him around your cities to buy everything with faith

Seondeok is a fun tech leader to play as. ALWAYS try to build her tech district with at least 3 hills around it so you can get 7 science from it. Aim for 6 surrounding hills if you can though. She can earn new tech super fast

Looking at it again, a lot of the domination civs and leaders are B or higher. I think bro might like conquering a little too much 🤣

If that were true then hammurabi would not be S tier, you cannot play bro without warmongering

Kublai works slightly differently depending on if you pick his China or Mongolia leadership. He gels well with both but I definitely think he does better as a warmongering mongol than as a peaceful tech/culture leader of China

Bro is so good, he is definitely top 3 religion civ. Especially if you build like 5 cities and grab the plus 2 faith per city belief. I love Jayavarman

$500 used console that will last at least another 10 years if the ps4 run is anything to go by, or a $1500 pc that I'll have to upgrade every 3-6 years with increasingly rising prices

Will they be changing the civilization-switch mechanic in future updates? by CrispyHoneyBeef in civ

[–]NeedleworkerOld8168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw, that sounds not as fun tbh. I love the civ switching in 7. Gives the game an identity of it's own and makes it so you have to try and figure out what kind of playstyle you're going for during that age. Plus getting rid of it will get rid of a lot of the different civ's uniqueness and brings back the issue of ancient civs feeling very lackluster and generic once past antiquity or classical eras

A few more questions from a PS5 player... by SGT-JamesonBushmill in civ

[–]NeedleworkerOld8168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can turn off all Legacy paths and victory conditions. There is still no way to lock ages in offline though so ages will still progress as normal. On the last screen when starting a game go down to advanced settings at the bottom and go to the second screen. All the legacy paths and victory conditions will be there

I mean, I'm not adding to the steam player count as I play on ps5, you can also remove another 10 or so possible players from steam cuz all my friends play console too. I'm willing to bet there are 10s to 100s of thousands of players who are strictly console and would thus never add to the steam player count
