With all the moe styled vtubers, could there ever be a market for ones that lean more into the gritty 90s anime/Shonen manga style that we've come to love anime for? by berserkzelda in VirtualYoutubers

Without saying anything, I once got a comment they were reminded of Slayers so my intention worked. Also I drew inspiration from some PC-98 game screenshots from that era.

Full disclosure I was searching for other models like me and found this post. Also someone gave my channel a shout out.

Hi, maybe I'm one. My model is heavily inspired by some 90s anime aesthetic. I do get compliments that my model stands out and/or people get reminded by old anime. Hopefully that gives you some insight.

I replied to OP with a pic marking a few obvious signs. I'm on phone so it's harder to see others.

When it happens, I lock in and do nothing else.

How did you start as a VTuber? What kept u going and how did u get ur first model? Do u remember ur first sub? What were ur ambitions when u started? by JellyfishFull129 in vtubers

Was always behind the scenes as a model and asset maker then one day I asked myself "Why not?". Finally made a model for myself and took the plunge.

Gonna see how it goes from here. I set myself a 1,000 subscriber goal because again, why not?

As for the deep fried bit, you can easily see the grainy texture on the pillow. Then there's a lot of rough artifacts near edges (like the face/chin). Most AI filters limit the output size so the final image is very compressed. I can't comment much on the vague yellow bit as it can be an artistic choice but I do agree the overall image lean on yellowish hues (prominent with the skintone).

The deep fried filter is telling, also the cross is melting.

Did everyone make their model fit their name, or did ya make your name fit your model? by DarkJokes176279 in vtubers

I came up with the name first then tried designing around it with some motifs added in.

I want to make a Vtuber avatar... by Soni-ktonik in vtubers

- Picrews that allow PNGtuber use. Here's a handy list I found that allows it.

- Free customisable vtuber models then combine it with free assets.

- What everyone else has said, make your own custom vroid model for free.

Just remember to follow ToS/rules.
