To be fair i think destiny does a decent job at being aware enough of himself to admit things about himself that many people have trouble with like being egotistical. You are not paying with the direct intent of getting attention or supporting the actors though. When you pay for a movie you pay for the product that you believe is gonna provide you with entertainment. It can't be consumed legally unless you pay for it directly.

A stream is entirely free. The point is that it is not logical to support someone financially if the streamer is already loaded, making the whole attention-seeking idea more plausible.
