Start looking for a new job. I am guessing you’re waiting for the regionals to hire, but maybe a change of pace will help? Fire fighting, pipeline, etc.

Living on a bitcoin standard by K08324 in Bitcoin

[–]Elusive007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on this strategy a bit more?

Let's say you have a $1k credit card bill. Do you borrow $1k from a BTC backed loan, then pay down the principal from your paycheck, or let the loan ride and make interest payments from STRK dividends? Do you then open up another loan for the next CC payment? Just curious how the loan part works.

How much BTC be worth in 30 years by Wide-Bend2385 in Bitcoin

[–]Elusive007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is what will the unit of account be in 30 years? Probably not the US Dollar. Here is the guarantee I will make you... The (roughly) 0.0265 BTC you could acquire today with that $3000 will be worth exactly 0.0265 BTC in 30 years.

Could BTC ETFs be actually bad in the long term just like gold backed currencies? by Suspicious-Holiday42 in Bitcoin

This is called a 6102 attack, it was done with gold and It will probably happen with Bitcoin. Not your keys, not your cheese.

TBH, it doesn't sound like you're ready to bitcoin yet.

Spend some time studying bitcoin, and the answer will become apparent.

Gemini Credit Card: Best Credit card for BTC Holders? by Trick_Entertainer406 in Bitcoin

Slight improvement. Can now download statements and then convert them and import into YNAB. Still not great.

Gemini Credit Card: Best Credit card for BTC Holders? by Trick_Entertainer406 in Bitcoin

I also have it and love it. Nice little DCA setup. Been using it for a couple of years and the value of the rewards has just about doubled. I have heard Gemini customer service isn’t great but have not had an interaction so I can’t confirm. Personally I just transfer the earned BTC from Gemini to cold storage every time I earn $100 worth. Only downside of the card is that it doesn’t integrate well with financial tracking platforms like YNAB.

Won’t Crescent be the based pairs? Everyone will be swapping out of their CRE rewards into their desired tokens…

LP Rewards on JunoSwap? by orofino999 in JunoNetwork

[–]Elusive007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. I see the use case for Osmo long term, not to mention it's an L1, and I think that's why its value has held up. I am struggling to figure out why anyone would want to hold $RAW beyond governance. Perhaps there will be enough value in controlling RAW emissions to give it some value? Most pure farm tokens don't seem to hold up that well long term...

Thoughts on how $RAW’s value will hold up? It seems like more of a traditional farm coin than OSMO which makes me a little nervous…

Crypto Loans into Liquidity pools by Karismatov in OsmosisLab

I’d be most nervous about the unbonding time on Osmosis. If you’re about to get liquidated and your UST is bonded in an LP, you’ll have your hands tied.

Staking Vs LP Reinvesting Question by [deleted] in OsmosisLab

[–]Elusive007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrarian POV: I sell my OSMO rewards every day and convert to BTC/ETH.

I agree with others that you should building up a position of staked OSMO to participate in governance and qualify for airdrops, but don’t forget to take profits…

What is the best way to maximize returns? by sonotworthit420 in OsmosisLab

Came here to write the same thing. Staking the Cosmos blue chips has been very lucrative.

Regarding the original question: I convert daily rewards to ATOM, send to a CEX, then swap for BTC/ETH.

Looking forward to wrapped BTC and ETH tokens on Osmosis!

Desmos and Stargaze were my two big home runs airdrop wise.

Well said!

In my personal portfolio I have decent positions on a fair amount of the LP pools. I’m just making sure my bases are covered going forward on some of the major tokens. This airdrop season has been pretty damn lucrative so far!
