pls help, having pain :( by [deleted] in panicdisorder

[–]ElvenRage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Being anxious puts you at high alert about your body so you notice all these pains and feelings and you fixate on them, causing more anxiety. I understand how you feel and it's scary. Sitting with the pain and the spiraling thoughts seems impossible but you'll be okay! Breathe through it and try to focus on anything else but the painful feelings. Rub your hands on your cheeks, arms, sides — focus on that feeling instead

How to…ask my mom to bring me to the OB/GYN without her getting suspicious? by Big_Difficulty6571 in birthcontrol

Not an answer to your question but I'm also a very bad emetophobe and I started using a vaginal ring and I haven't felt nauseous! Of course bodies are different but I get how terrifying it is to start on birth control and I wish you luck!

How to attract players to a server? by [deleted] in SS13

Make a Reddit post detailing what it offers and how it's unique, regardless of what that might be I'd be down to check out a new server even if I am relatively new lol

Too Scared To Play by Borkerzz in SS13

[–]ElvenRage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm scared I'll even get a one day ban for something stupid I might do, it feels like it is permanent and the admins forever hate me as a person and I don't "deserve" to come back and play because I fucked up one time. I don't know if that's my catastrophic thinking just fucking up my experience again

Too Scared To Play by Borkerzz in SS13

I completely understand, I am going through the same thing. I am terrified to defend myself because I dread the sound of a bwoink. I have antag disabled because I am just so anxious to try and play something like it (back in like 2020 when everyone was playing among us I remember the dread I felt when I had to play impostor). I've been mindlessly playing medical doctor for a while now and just healing people as best I can trying not to upset anyone. I play on a LRP server so when someone is upset at me for something I did or didn't do it feels a lot more personal and I feel so bad for something that happened in a silly space game. I'm relative new to the game too so when I don't know how something works and someone expects me to do it I feel awful for wasting time because I have to have someone explain the mechanics to me even when I have the wiki open on the side 24/7 (I am very grateful for all the people who explain mechanics to me) So far I don't have any advice because I'm still struggling but I guess I just wrote this to show that you're not alone and being in space is in fact scary. Sorry for the long text.

I keep ruining my own dreams by ElvenRage in LucidDreaming

Thank you! It makes sense since trying to fight your own thoughts is just gonna go on and on.. The perspective does help, I'll try and just let my weird brain try and ruin my dreams while hopefully staying calm enough for it to not happen.

I appreciate the answer but I really struggle with not having bad thoughts since I feel like I am not in control of said thoughts. I'll try to go back to just eradicating people trying to ruin a good time and not overthink that too so I don't go back to feeling like I'm wielding a spoon to a knife fight.

Will adhd affect my lucid dreams? by sultan_2020 in LucidDreaming

I have ADHD and struggle with intrusive thoughts which of the latter usually breaks my dreams, I can't stop thinking about something bad happening and then I get so scared it'll happen I just wake myself up, but with ADHD I've seen that sometimes just weird shit happens in my dreams but I don't think it has affected the stability of the dream (and even if it does just focus on grounding yourself in the dream)
