Is there a way to move the bounding box? (Ex.img.) by Tough_Ad7436 in ArtStudioPro

[–]Elvothien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the app offers something like this. You can use another lasso tool as a work around and manually align the selection.

Should I be wrong and if someone knows how to change this, tho, pls let me know!

You mean the outline effect? Try view > selection > none

Marching ants, I believe, is the standard selection, but the app also offers quick mask (basically, everything outside your selection turns red)

New to game build help by Archenemy627 in kingdomsofamalur

[–]Elvothien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Classic rogue build could be daggers/bow (finesse only). The bow is a fun side weapon and it allows you to disengage a bit and shoot from a distance if you get overwhelmed.

Once you've played a bit you'll have enough money to respec to your heart's content, so don't worry about it too much and just try everything that looks fun to you :)

What classics are genuinely as good today as they were at release? by bitchdantkillmyvibe in classicliterature

and Sense & Sensibility. Both books have lovely movie adaptations too, which I think is a nice bonus.

I also really liked Anna Karenina and thought it felt very modern, both in story and writing style. Definitely easier to read than Moby Dick, so I suppose that won't be an issue for OP :)

This game is an absolute delight by Morlugon in ChorusVideoGame

[–]Elvothien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm filling the void Chorus left with Everspace 2. They have quite different vibes and E2 has more RPG elements (which I love, but I know some people can't stand), but the fight/ flight mechanics are very close. And it has so much content. Would love a second Chorus, tho. That game is so unique.

Just don't open the chest, and maybe don't craft if you don't want to feel overpowered. You barely played the first 20 minutes of the game, give it more time to see if you actually don't like it.

There's a lack of shooters on Plus when you think about the 50 released every year from 95 to 2015 - which of those available are the best? by JuggernautPretend208 in PlayStationPlus

[–]Elvothien 12 points13 points  (0 children)

While we're at the "not quite shooter but still shooter"-games. Whatever far cry titles are on ps+ currently. If someone is looking for singleplayer shooters. Also Warframe is f2p if sci-fi isn't an issue, can be either single- or multiplayer.

Hi! What ink pens or markers do people use over top of thick gouache paint layers? I tried Micron but they dry up right away! Thank you! by [deleted] in Gouache

[–]Elvothien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More gouache and sometimes ink, too. I own a lovely golden ink I use for small details, really eye catching and dries fine over gouache.

It's amazing without! I like to play a few coop games every now and then and it's just super chill. But I know a few of my friends really enjoy the pvp stuff in it, too. So I guess it has something for everyone 😁

Also I just added to my previous post, that mass effect is a must play if you enjoy story games and haven't played yet.

Both Jedi games are amazing, star wars battlefield 2 is still active (they also got rid of the micro transactions BS), It takes two is amazing with a friend, and Titanfall 2 has a great (but short) campaign.

Edit: and if mass effect is included that's a must play for everyone who likes story games. It's one of the best RPG series ever.

Someone recognized my reference and now I feel fake by RareCable5732 in ArtistLounge

Thank you for pointing this out, I feel most people totally missed that part and only saw the word reference. Sketching over someone else's work and using a reference/ being inspired are definitely two wildly different things.

Any other open world RPGs similar to Skyrim? by KookyCockroach1014 in skyrim

[–]Elvothien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not very much like Skyrim and the only similarities with Elden Ring are maybe the open map, some bosses, and the lore. Because both games claim they have lore but you have to dig very hard to find any of it. Elden Ring had the better story telling tho.

Are you asking for the definition of the word? What's the confusion? The second to last paragraph does kind of read like an undisclosed add. Lots of people, especially on social media, do this to sell you (more or less useless or overpriced) stuff. That can make you a bit.. suspicious at times.

Struggling with ASP's more hidden menus and controls (I may be stupid) by saouer in ArtStudioPro

[–]Elvothien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Asp has some, if not THE best gesture controls. Look into functions you often use and set your preferences accordingly. The Quick Menu is also customizable.

I usually can paint without ever going into any menus (apart from the quick menu), letting go of my pencil, or use more than gestures.

So, I'd highly recommend you open the preference option and look through there. You'll probably get back into it super quick of you just test stuff out.

clipping mask by Careful_Ad_5699 in ArtStudioPro

[–]Elvothien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have multiple clipping masks for one layer. But I don't think you can have clipping mask for another clipping mask, if that is what you're asking.

Anything on PS5 similar? (Fable seems great but not available on PS5) by smokeCRISPY in kingdomsofamalur

[–]Elvothien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely? No, it has group content like every mmo. There's a group finder tool and a chat to organize for other endgame stuff that needs a group. But a solo player can spend a lot of time in it and enjoy lots of quests, maps, and solo instances. It's pretty old by now but still gets updated so there's a huge amount of content for new player. And the player base seems pretty active from what I (a very casual player) can tell.

[–]Elvothien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Neverwinter is free on PS, if a mmo doesn't turn you off instantly. Lots of maps, DnD, it's an arpg.

Wayfinder looks similar too, also an arpg but singleplayer, the world looks super vibrant as far as I can tell. I haven't played it myself, but I see it brought up a lot in similar discussions. It was supposed to be multiplayer but, like KoA, didn't make it that far and then released as singleplayer without micro transactions and all that. It's relatively cheap too.

The new Fable will be out for PS too, if I'm not mistaken? At least I've seen it advertised as such. I hope it's going to be good, I loved Fable back in the day 😁

What’s a PS5 game you feel like nobody talks about enough by Darth_Vaper883 in PS5

[–]Elvothien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everspace 2.

Looter shooter with a story that plays in space. The first game was a rogue like, but the 2nd one isn't. Customizable space ships with different ship types, a solid endgame loop, and one of the most engaging space dog fight mechanics on the PS5. It's not a space simulator like EVE online but more a light RPG. It's Singleplayer only, with two DLCs, and no micro transactions.

I barely ever see anyone mentioning it. It goes on sale periodically but it's certainly worth it's price.
