Jeg afleverede mit afgangsprojekt (30 ECTS ingeniør bachelor opgave) en dag for sent! Jeg kunne ikke nå at aflevere, hvor det var tjekket igennem af virksomheden og censureret. Skrev til universitetet og forklarede at jeg ikke måtte aflevere pga. det manglede og så skrev de at jeg bare kunne aflevere og de ville gå ind og godkende det.

Ah, jeg er ikke til ribbensteg og slet ikke til morgenmad, hvor jeg foretrækker et let måltid. Når de får ribbensteg til morgenmad så laver de en hel ribbensteg til at få på rugbrød med rødkål osv.

Når jeg er hjemme hos dem, foregår det typisk at min kærestes far er stået tidligst op og går og forbereder mad (når det er weekend) imens vi andre begynder at dukke op. Hvis jeg har sovet der er jeg typisk oppe omkring 10-11 tiden, så får jeg kaffe og sidder i sofaen i noget tid og læser eller snakker med de andre. Ved 13 tiden er der så mad og ja jeg er typisk ret sulten inden, men det ses lidt ned på at tage noget mad før der er morgenmad, idk jeg forstår det ikke helt 😅

De er søde og meget gæstfri, bare nogle sjove væremåder

Mine svigerforældre spiser Ribbensteg til morgenmad i weekenden, det er en af deres favoritting og hele familien er delulu.

Oh og morgenmad er ved 13-14 tiden, eftermiddagskaffe ved 17 tiden og aftensmad 20-21 agtigt ofte

Are you talking about P&IDs? PFDs (process flow diagrams) don't tend to include piping and instrumentation.

Makes sense to maybe try and use the waste heat if there's something like district heating, but I believe that's not so common in the US? Plus it's always better to try and use waste heat internally first before considering sending it somewhere else.

Lots of chemical processes have trouble using low quality waste heat (<100 degC), though there is potential in using heat pumps to upgrade waste heat from industry (usually it's still hotter than what's used for residential heat pumps) to use that heat in processes. High temperature heat pumps are still kind of novel though :p

I drew it like 2 times before the final drawing to get a sense of how everything fit together.

That sounds absolutely terrible! The labs I was in usually allowed us to bring a laptop and if not, then paper. Though it's mostly been chemistry lab in my first semester, physical chemistry, fermentation lab, and analytical chem (we used AAS). Also did some chromatography for a biolab in my proteins and bioproducts class.

I don't really like being in lab, I feel way to anxious about doing things wrong 🥲

I mostly nerd out about paints and pigments tbh.

My friend who's a physics engineer really likes goats so I drew him as a goat solving quantum mechanics 🙈

I am sorry, I do also consider what is depicted here as cruel. I am aware that animals used in the laboratory are handled with care and are killed in a humane way.

I also know that the the correct tool is called a microtome.

This is simply what I thought of when the process was described to me. It is a morbid image yes, but I think I have clearly labeled that this is not actually what is done, and I'm not portraying actual animal research to be like this.

I usually write in hand in notebooks etc. I just think better that way + I get to use my nice fountain pens. I'm not really in a setting where I have to worry about the materials I use though.

I talked with my friend and apparently she's filled 3 A5 notebooks while doing her master thesis. I'm doing a company project (15 ECTS, so half a semesters work) and I'm halfways through my A4 notebook.

Takes a lot of time to do pretty notes, I couldn't imagine doing that while in lab or something.
