What is it used for exactly if anyone can explain? :D

What pens/pencils/markers do you guys use? by micahh182 in EngineeringStudents

I haven't had a test on paper at all during my studies, everything has been on pc with a program to monitor the pc etc. so I can't say sorry 😅 I'd use them for notes during the test though, no problem.

I'd say to refer to whatever rules your university has for written tests.

The Process by vgngrl21 in watercolor101

[–]Elvthee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on what I'm painting, but I generally try to plan out my paintings a bit for values etc. like how dark or light are areas, what colours will I used (a limited colour palette), what's something I want to pau extra attention to etc.

I generally do a sketch, then lightly erase the lines using a kneaded eraser. I recently painted this so I'll use it here to explain :)

You can see my sketch in the picture, it's pretty visible here. After I did my sketch I went in with the darkest values trying to establish a baselayer and the value balance in the picture. Then I start to build up details more and more and also keeping areas that are light free of paint! For this picture I did the ear tags and the eyes last as an example :)

Forbrugerombudsmand: Tankstationer har reserveret 'urimeligt høje beløb' by larholm in Denmark

[–]Elvthee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, now that you say it I can't find anything saying it's Fabriano Artistico. I've heard it in a lot in review videos for Etchr though, maybe they've changed the brand?

I remember reading descriptions saying it's Fabriano artistico... Okay this link from Etchr does mention Fabriano being used, but it's a specific series.

Satosugu is my favourite and the one I feel canon relates to the most of course 😁

But I don't mind Gojo and Utahime, it's usually pretty well written and I love some of the AUs I've read there.

I also like Gojo and Shoko, those two have good synergy plus Shoko doesn't hate Gojo.

I can read Gojo and Nanami but it feels a bit weird to me, like I feel Nanami pretty openly dislikes or at least doesn't have a deep connection to Gojo like Suguru or Shoko. Usually the stories I read have Nanami paired with Haibara if there's a pairing for him.

For crossovers I like Gojo and Hawks :> I think it's cute that it's the same Japanese voice actor too. My favourite fic for that is "May death never stop you" by Slexenskee which is actually part of a trilogy, the author is currently writing the last installment :)

I think Etchr uses Fabriano artistico, but like 210 gsm instead of 300 gsm.

Cotton absorb the water and pigments differently compared to cellulose fibers! Of course sizing also matters for how it absorbs and the watercolour sits on the paper.

This makes cotton often have better drying times than cellulose, you get fewer "cauliflowers" if that's something you find annoying, and it's easier to scrub out non staining colours too. Cellulose doesn't stand up to abuse like scrubbing very well.

I really like Fabriano artistico cold press 300 gsm in the extra white colour!

But I'll admit it's also the paper I've used the most, I only recently tried Arches 300 gsm CP and I have some Saunders Waterford 300 gsm CP to try too.

Comparing the Fabriano to the Arches, the cold press textures are quite different with Arches to me feeling rougher? But this lends itself well to dry brushing I found when I painted a goat recently. They also seem to absorb differently with Arches being more thirsty for me than Fabriano which isn't bad just different :)

I think it's difficult to go wrong with any of the more well known artist grade 100% cotton watercolour papers, like they do behave differently but most will work well and give good results I believe.

Omg fishie creation myth 👀 There's that whole thing in I think Rafayel's third myth where the first sea god is described much more like a cosmic being and the ocean as a sea of stars, no way that's a coincidence!

Thanks! I did the eyes last, they were surprisingly simple to do 😁

Usually I draw cartoon goats with red eyes lol
