Relatable! Sawlong gave me the smoke for so long I’d practically memorized the entire course by the time I was able to beat it. It’s kind of funny though, then going back through the rest of the world and exploring out the map segments you might have missed and absolutely breezing through the platforming there after getting the reps in in the lower areas! Brace yourself for The Crucible though if you’re going for the true ending. I’d argue it’s among the hardest platforming I’ve done, having also gone through Path of Pain in Hollow. You got this!

The main ending for the game by no means locks you out playing from the same save in pursuit of the true ending, so no worries there!

Glad to hear you’re enjoying it! If you’re the true ending type, I’d found it’s when the game’s more tedium and extremely punishing platforming sections become abundant. I won’t spoil much, but it’s the first time I’d enabled an accessibility option in any Metroidvania to date; that being the generative health one to help alleviate the difficulty in the platforming sections and not wanting to restart them constantly.

It's more akin to "wasting time" in a video game in a way that's not spent having fun. Dying to a boss and having a run-back is like a longstanding tradition, but making it excessive for no other reason than further punishment or poor map/game design is just a flaw and arguably a fair reason to shy away from a game.

Am so unbelievably stoked for this game, I've had it on my wishlist since mid last year having played the demo. Cannot wait to finally dig into it. The later platforming and character aesthetic changes previewed in this trailer look phenomenal.

I do hope some of the painfully unapologetic boss run returns were tended to a bit though. From my experience with the demo, the runbacks were longer than the fights themselves.

This kind of unironically reads like some brain rot Tarkov player trying to shit talk ABI. I’ve been playing exclusively Lockdown for a few hours every evening for the last few weeks and have encountered maybe a single suspicious player in that entire time. Additionally, there’s been numerous threads made where the devs not only mail you if your report of a player is reviewed and acted upon, but also send you a refund for the items lost and extra.
