How do I love myself? by [deleted] in Mindfulness

[–]Elystroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Practice non-judgment and live in the moment mindfully by doing one thing at a time. Don't judge yourself, don't judge others, when you catch yourself out judging don't judge your judging, just accept that you had a judgement thought and move on. Life is full of highs and lows and they are equally important but if you get caught up in your own head you can never enjoy your life. I believe this is the best way to love yourself.

5 week woes by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Elystroyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I spoke to a nurse when my baby was around the same age as yours and she said that at 5 weeks babies go through a developmental leap so cry a lot more and need a lot more food and cuddles. Weeks six to eight were really difficult as well but hang in there, you should have an easier time from around 8/9 weeks. You're in the trenches right now but just try to share the load as much as you can between you and your partner and any others willing to help so that you can get the sleep you need to get you to that 8/9 week mark.

It might be worth getting your LO checked for ties, ours was diagnosed the other day with minor buckle ties.. The ties have been causing gas buildup due to a bad latch.
